JM Marlin 30-30
JM Marlin in 35 Remington.
Custom 30-40 Krag
CZ 550FS in 8x57
Winchester M70 in 375 H&H

I would say they’re not the biggest bucket list guns. But they’re ones that I want.

The next firearm I intend to purchase is a Springfield XDm 10mm. I just can't decide between the 4.5" or 5.25" barrel. I have XDms in both those lengths and they each have their merits.

It might be a Mossberg 930 after that.

Of course if any screaming deal crops up, I'm liable to jump on those too.

These Ohio National Guard trade-ins ($229) have piqued my interest lately:

This past weekend The Lady brought a Ruger SR22. We went to the Gunshow with my intent to have her handle small 9mm’s as her S&W M&P is too large and heavy for conceal carry. Well in the course of her handling pistols she picked up the Ruger and the rest is history.


Wednesday I stopped in the drug, er gun store that sold her the gun to check on a gun I have on order. The drug, er gun shop owner asked me how she like the gun. As we conversed the drug, er gun dealer said he had something to show me, went back into a back room and came out with a SR22 with the Ruger suppressor on it. The drug, er gun dealer smiled while I handled it knowing I was taking the bait. ;)


Well as you may guess I love the way this gun and suppressor are set up. Ruger really did their homework. I have since extensively research it and it has moved up to my next purchase after I finish my two AR builds that are in progress. It is going to take a while to get the money for this expensive and long process but that should not stop a real drug, er gun addict should it? :D


This means the Ruger 9mm carbine and SR handgun are now on the long list. :(

Lol.

Folks sometimes compare my habit, errrr......collection, with a drug addiction.

Until I point out that after you use drugs, you're left with nothing and after I use my guns I still have guns.:neener:
 
1) A good High Power. It's the definitive Cold War pistol.

2) A bolt action 6.5 Creedmore. There's a 1000 yard range a half hour from my home. I plan to take advantage of that. Currently, I'm getting my Remington 40x in 308 ready. But the LGS has a Remington Custom Shop 40x 6.5 Creedmore in stock. I don't need it but I do want it. No, I'm not getting rid of the 308. Me and that rifle have been good friends far too long.

3) S&W 625 45 Colt. What could be better than a DA revolver in 45 Colt?

4) Ruger Single Six flatgate. One of the best handling .22 pistols I've ever shot.

Shotguns with bayonet lugs are awesome. Nothing screams "clear the trenches" or "repel boarders" quite like a combat shotgun with a bayonet attached.
 
1) a 9mm revolver (will Kimber make a 9mm K6S?).
2) Ruger American Ranch Rifle in 5.56.
3) 10/22 take-down

That should complete the collection.
 
There is only one gun even remotely under consideration and that is a Keltec CMR-30 to go with my PMR-30. I already have a .22 Mag bolt action so this is not high on my list.

Plus, I need either another or a larger gun cabinet.

A double stack 1911

Something better to run in USPSA

A semi 12g of some sort.

Something more than a standard pistol to add to my EDC if I can ever sort the legal out.
 
Not a lot that I want that I don't have. But few things I'm thinking about or looking at:

1) Navy Arms .357 Lightning repro (20")
2) A .30-06 AI build on a M70 featherweight.
3) An AHR CZ550 .375H&H build
4) Some kind of a bad weather/bottom of the boat duck & goose 12ga. Haven't decided what I'd get. Maybe a Winchester SuperX synthetic whatever.
5) A youth rifle .22 my daughter could start on. Not sure what would be good. We have 10/22s but I'd prefer a single shot or possibly bolt with a single round setup.

Both my kids hated the 10/22 due to the frustrating magazine release and bolt hold open controls.

The Savage Mk1 is tough to beat for a high-quality single shot bolt gun.

Ive heard good things about the Cricketts too.

My daughter started on a '30s vintage Marlin 80e- its a repeater, but we left the magazine out at first. I find that newbies really benefit from a peep sight.

Later, she graduated to a Marlin M70 semi auto and a single shot .410 Enfield Musket.

Now, at age 12, she is really taking to .22 handguns. My S&W 422 is her favorite.:D
