I just wanted to take a moment and say thank you to those that contribute to this forum. This is by far the best gun forum on the net and has became more than just a forum to me. The vast amount of wisdom and experience that is within this board is overwhelming. We've been losing some very inspiring members over the last few years, Rcmodel especially, and I never got a chance to tell him how much I appreciated his words. Large thanks to the moderators that volunteer their time to keep it "Highroad".

So here's to you guys!

Thank you for being the wonderful influence and wealth of wisdom that makes up this board!

The moderators do a great job here. I've been here nigh on 16 years and have watched folks come and go, and in some cases cycle back in again. I agree totally that the signal to noise ratio on THR is highest of any of the boards I frequent, largely because of the high number of quality people who hang out here. I have learned a lot. Hope to be around a while longer.

Well I'd like to chime in and say that this is the best gun forum I've seen.
I've found that many of my gun related questions were already answered in the many threads here.
This forum is a real wealth of knowledge.

The software is also excellent and easy to use.
Some forums won't host photos and using them is a royal pain in other ways.

Great salute from the OP, and I second the recognition of the moderators. This current bunch is the best group of moderators this forum has ever had, IMO, and the forum really reached it's pinnacle when it changed it's format and approach a few years ago. Thanks to everyone who has been willing to share what often has been hard earned knowledge! ;)

I post on many forums, but tend to hang out here the most. The Moderators do a great job. I know that it’s not an easy job being a Mod., I was one for ten years on a busy forum. The hours and the pay sucks, but without those willing to put in the time, a forum will fall apart.
We do have great members here too, Masters and Students. But remember this. To teach or learn you must have an open book, for the Master will teach the students, but at the same time the Master will learn from the students.
Thanks to all those that make The High Road a great place to hang my hat.

The High Road is the first firearms forum that I joined all those many years back when I first "dipped my toe" in the internet "pool". And, it's the only one that I hang out at anymore.
It has all of the expertise and variety of topics and guns discussed that fits my needs and, for the most part, we are a well behaved group.

Agreed on all accounts. I've been lurking for years. Gained 75% of my reloading knowledge here. Bit from enos forum back when he sold dillon, a bunch from load books, and tons from you folks.

I also recently had my wife go through spinal surgery with some major complications which landed her in the ICU for 18 days, let's just say this forum was part of my daily therapy to maintain sanity.

This post prompted me to say thanks as well and also sign up as a contributing member. I figure with all the double checks I've done on my loads I've had to have saved at least a bunch of hours pulling bad loads apart and possibly some fingers. Lol

You then get the icing on the cake like the owner of RMR bullets posting on the forum and offering a discount to members. Heck, the discount alone will cover the $25 to the site.

Great forum, great group. Carry on!

This is by far the best gun forum on the net
Hands down.

I've been a member of several forums over the last few years and I have slowly withdrawn from all of them. The incredible fanboyism and uncivil conversation on other forums is so unappealing and unhealpful, I just see no reason to frequent those places. THR is so full of knowledge, sound advice, and good humor it really stands out miles ahead of other forums.

I haven't so much around for different reasons. Nevertheless, I have learned so much during my time as a member. Here, we have member with a hgih degree of experience, capacity, craftsmanship and professionalism. Sadly, we lost many valuables great men (I will name only two, Rcmodel, Steve Camps, please forget me for the rest). To all of them, our service men and lastly to all who support this pasion in any form.
Thanks.

Best moderated forum, of any type.

I tend to listen (read) more than comment and it's distinctly refined knowledge gained.

Thanks to the contributors a well as mods.

I also appreciate the effort that goes into this forum, and I have learned much from it. In a world in which it seems everyone thinks he or she is an expert because internet, it is refreshing to find people who listen, learn, and respect as well as adding to the knowledge base.
