the 220 grain REX is the best 300 BLK subsonic bullet out there, bar none.

I think I need to get the 220gr version. I just started playing with the 200gr version last weekend. I have not done any terminal testing with it yet just getting the velocity dialed in. My first batch did not go well. I get the velocity I wanted but then it would not cycling my AR and my AR has yet to see a load, super or sub, it would not cycle. I have a 16-inch barrel, pistol length gas system, with an AAC SDN-6 can.

My first attempt:
Bullet: 200gr Maker
Primer: Win Small Rifle
2.105 inch OAL

Powder: IMR 4227

Charge: 9.9 gr
Avg Vel (5-shot): 1104 fps

Charge: 9.6 gr
Avg Vel (5-shot): 1053 fps

Charge: 9.3 gr
Avg Vel (5-shot): 1024 fps

9.9 grs ran fine but it was super sonic. Both the 9.6 and 9.3 gr has a few short stroked that ejected but failed to get back far enough to strip the next round and did not lock back on the final round.

My next attempt it going to be to switch to Accurate 1680 and see if that will cycle.

Too bad the twist in a .30-30 is too slow, those look like they'd be really good loaded in that round on whitetails out to 150-200 yds...

Im definitely going to try these... thanks for sharing. They look similar to the lehigh defense ones. I have used them, and the DO WORK very well, aside from the price lol.

they are expensive, but I plan on using them for hunting, and I don't shoot large volumes of animals so I'm OK with the cost. Paul at Maker is a great dude as well, very responsive on the customer service front, so I don't mind spending the money for the best sub bullet out there.
