Not because its my favorite but because its my porch gun for critters and I can hit with it. I've killed ground hogs at 30 yards (shot at him 5 times tho). Its the cheapest Ruger 22-45 I could find and I have $60 in the Bushnell TRS25. It is dead on accurate.

I have that same setup. Ruger mk3 22/45 with a TRS-25. Same aftermarket grips (i had to fill mine in cause it slid around a bit). Dead nuts. The TRS-25 really surprised me.

Ruger Super Redhawk 44 mag, and a close 2nd, would be the Magnum Research 30/30 BFR. Just love shooting those revolvers. Helps having a 50 yd range, right off the back deck.

Not near as many as the last few years, but I have congestive heart failure, copd, and back/neck problems and had a triple bypass in February.
Probably 1500 357 in the GP-100, 500 38’s in the Smith 67, and 8-9k 9mm between my g17/17L & 2 Range Officers.

Is 2018 over?? I'm still working on adding to it!

OK, so far, I'd say my Henry lever 22, that I've had forever. You know, one of those early models that everyone whined about for having plastic sights and plastic bbl. band? Well, that Henry lives on my ATV and is pretty much abused every day, and guess what?

Yup, the sights and bbl. band are still like new and still work perfectly, just like the rest of the gun! It has never jammed or failed to fire, and has worked perfectly since I bought it new, and it hasn't had it's first internal cleaning yet! It has been wiped off a few times though...

Googled it. Only 200 of the shotgun variants were made? Someone was asking 5k for this thing. Just cause it's rare right? Cause it looks simple to me.
You are correct on rare, but simple I don't know. There is a spring inside the wood tube that goes forward when you shoot reducing recoil. I wont venture to take it apart. When I feel it needs service I send it to Ljutic directly.

I haven't gotten to the range nearly as much as I'd like, but I have gotten to go more than I did a few years ago, so I shouldn't complain. Mine is mostly educated guesses, as I don't track round counts in any kind of systematic way. The "most range trips" award goes to my S&W Shield. I bought it in August of 2017, so I had the "get competent/break-in/make-sure-it-works" period. The "most rounds fired" award goes to my Mk IV 22/45.

That's not a bad idea, I need to set up a chart like that one

I used it as an excuse to practice my excel-fu.

=ABS(SUMIFS('Purchase Log'!E:E,'Purchase Log'!A:A,">12/31/"&$N$2-1,'Purchase Log'!A:A,"<1/1/"&$N$2+1,'Purchase Log'!C:C,"<>Dry Fire",'Purchase Log'!H:H,C4))

translation:
sum up all values in column E where...
1,2) date is in requested year
3) not a dry fire event
4) is the specified firearm

:D

As far as the chart, great idea, but for me shooting the 22.cal would not be feasible. Shoot too many pistols, rifles etc. Some in bulk packages, etc. Trying to keep a chart would drive me crazy. Maybe just too lazy. Shooting a new gun like my Nano was fairly easy. Since I shoot two sometimes three times a week at different ranges, I am focused on time and will just grab a box or two of ammo and rush to the range for a quick session. My hat is off to the fellow that does this. I wonder if he is a Accountant?

Tie between a Smith &Wesson M&P 22-15 and a Nelson conversion on 1911 frame. I shoot them both in a weekly rimfire steel match. Around 5000 rounds each.

Since that my pic was taken I've changed the after market grip to one made especially for the gun. Its made by Hogue and it fits tight and does not slip. It is a Hogue model 17110

The first because it's my most fun weapon. It's probably had over 500 rounds through it, just this summer. The second, in case the subject needed to be more than rimfire, is my most prolific centerfire this year, as it's a newer addition to my 3 gun HD battery, and I needed the practice to be very proficient with it. I have a few that come close, but these two got used the most. DSC_0825.JPG DSCN0373.JPG

10/22 for rifle. CSMC RBL 20ga for shotgun. Colt diamondback for pistol. It's been a low volume year. Moved, new kid, just didn't shoot much.

Handgun was my Glock 17. Rifle was my two Savage B Mags. It just seemed like a 17 WSM kinda year. Since August 1st I've been on a buying spree trying to make up for all the new guns that have come out in the past 3 years. I went back to work August 1 after being off for three years. My purchases have been all over the place but mainly long guns.
