Auto 5 Magnum setting for slugs/00

Use the most friction your gun will cycle with. A new gun might need the light setting, but your springs and friction pieces may be a little tired. I’ve still got most of a box of 1600fps slugs that bruised my shoulder — set for heavy loads.

I agree with Rudolph. the longstanding rule for Auto 5s, Rem Model 11s and Savage 720s has been set for heaviest loads and reduce friction only if cycling problems appear with your chosen load.
