I was sad to hear that Matt Dardas closed shop, as I had good luck with his bullets over the years. I was considering ordering from Missouri Bullet Company, but I have read varying posts about quality issues. I think some of those posts were from a few years ago, however, and I was hoping for more recent feedback.

I am thinking about ordering some of the 148 gr DEWC to load up with Bullseye 2.8 gr and some CCI SP primers. I was loading the Dardas bullets a little warmer, to Bullseye 3.5 gr, but I see these are a little softer and meant for slower speeds? About how fast can I run these bullets without leading or losing accuracy?

I never ordered any DEWC from MBC but have ordered their SWC in .357, 9mm, .44, and .32 (Cowboy). Also their coated 9x18 and .32 RN. I have not had any issues about quality with any of them. The Brinell hardness of most of these is 18.

I've shot a bunch of their 215 and 245 grain 308 bullets in 300 blackout subs. Never had any issues.

Their 380 ACP bullets are for 'Secret Agents Only' so the bullet police might investigate your spy credentials....

The 9mm Makarov's have a similar statement.

Great news. I may also have to investigate those lighter 38 cal bullets as well, not sure if they're as accurate as the traditional 148 gr DEWC, but since I'm shooting a 686 and not a model 52...

Also, are all their discounts the same? I am still a member of my old state association, my new range also has a discount, but I can't seem to get anyone to email me back with the code!

I have never ever heard about quality issues with bullets from the MBC, they are always high quality when I buy them.

Their DEWC bullets are 12 BHN and can be pushed every bit as much as the bullets you were using. Why you would push a target bullet hard is beyond me but if need be you can buy their Hi-Tek coated bullets too.

THR members do receive a discount. You won't be disappointed IMO.

I have run125 rnfp, 158 swc, and 180 gr in 357. They were all good.
I had good luck with the 165 and 245 308 bullets.

I miss Matt's bullets also, and 1 of the Mastercast bullet companies (there were 2) seems to be no longer. They also made very good bullets.

Using RMR Jacketed/plated bullets now, but never had an issue with MBC quality, and if you do I am sure they would make it right.
:Lots of the .38/.357 bullets can be had in either 12 BHN or 18 BHN, select .38 Special for most of the 12s .357 Mag for the 18s.
Unless you are loading stout loads in ,357 12 worked better for me.
Getting the coated ones is worth the few extra $.

Dear lord - quality issues with MBC? Really? I’ve never heard of such a thing, nor experienced that over the many tens of thousands of bullets that I’ve ordered from them over the years.

Couldn't have said it any better.
I'm in no way, shape, manner or form a friend, relative or romantically involved with MBC. ;) :what:
Just a customer who's been very happy with their products the 15 or so times I've ordered from them.

Im an mbc repeat customer. No complaints, fair pricing, and good quality.

Have personally used their bullets in...
.32 h&r 76gr lrn
.357 zingers in 357 mag
.38 swc 158gr
.38 lrn 125gr cowboy
.38 lrn 158gr for levers
9mm smallball 115gr lrn
10mm 140gr ltc
44spl 200gr lrn
44mag 240gr lrnfp
45 200gr lrnfp
45 230gr softball
475 340gr lrnfp

.308 blk oem 215gr(?)
.458 300gr lrnfp
.458 405gr lrnfp

And i bet i missed one.

I have used those exact DEWC bullets and have shot quite a few K of them with no problem. They are 12 BHN but in a 38 SPL you can push them as hard as those Dardas could be.They shoot more accurately than I can. I also use 6 other caliber lead or coated lead bullets from MBC with zero problems/complaints. I believe you will be happy with them.

+1 no quality with no issues. Maybe 5000 button bullets in 45acp and they shoot great and make nice clean holes in paper

I use them quite a bit....lucky as they are about 30 min from my house.

Never issues, and seem to be a good bunch of folks.

I was considering ordering from Missouri Bullet Company, but I have read varying posts about quality issues.

On this board there are several, but one bullet supplier in particular, that everyone gushes over. Still, even with all that positive press, the prudent thing to do is purchase a small number of bullets, maybe 100 pcs and try 'em out. Then if they do what you want, order away with confidence lacking nothing. This way you are not taking someone's word for it, rather you get to experience the glory first hand.

My shooting buddy had a box of 45 Softballs that measured .454 and he had chambering issue but even with that I would highly recommend them. If Im not shooting jacketed or plated, Im shooting MBC.

I use the coated MBC 148 grain DEWC and have never had any problems. I load them over Unique and they are accurate out of my Blackhawk.

I too have used thousands of MBC bullets in .38, .44, .45 and 45-70. Depending on the load you're looking to load, they offer low and high brinell hardness bullets depending on your application. I have also begun to use their coated bullets and have been very pleased with them. Actually, that reminds me I need to place another order!
