Likely shot from AR carbine with insufficient buffer weight causing bolt to move away from chamber prematurely.Shot from a blow back carbine?Any guesses on the cause of that?
Could be, but would that explain the compression at the case mouth? That's kinda why I'm thinking the chamber was too short (.380?) and the bolt/slide was trying to drive it in further.Likely shot from AR carbine with insufficient buffer weight causing bolt to move away from chamber prematurely.
Pistol Caliber Carbines must use heavier buffer to hold bolt against chamber long enough to contain pressures - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...d-you-use-and-why.825314/page-2#post-10643679
Likely that happened after case was fired. Think about it. Loaded 9mm will head space off case mouth in 380. In order for the loaded round to go further in the chamber/barrel, bullet must compress which is unlikely and chances are 380 pistol won't fire out of battery.explain the compression at the case mouth?
Here's a thread showing same exact muffin top brass
Any guesses on the cause of that?
