I just in stalled a Cajun Gun Works trigger kit in my PO 9 and thought I would give a review for anyone interested .
SKU # 97098 Pro-Grade upgrade kit PO-9 PO-7 $224.00
Trigger before DA 11 lbs . This is my first DA/SA gun so I don't know what to judge it by , but , half way through most of the pull weight is there and the remaining 1/3 is left . I felt it was perfectly usable the way it came . Little gritty but not bad at all .
Trigger before SA 4 lbs . While light it was spongy , about half the sponginess of a Glock .You could see the hammer move back before it dropped . A 1911 trigger it is not ( I saw this in countless videos people saying "1911 single action trigger ".....NOT ) , but again , perfectly usable .
Reset . Very long , double the reset of a Glock . You can hear it and feel it no problem . Again perfectly usable .
Trigger after DA 7 lbs . Much smoother and lighter . Drastic improvement .
Trigger after SA 3 lbs. Much smoother and lighter . 98% of the sponginess is gone . Drastic improvement . Now its a 1911 trigger or damn close to it .
Reset . Easily half the distance . Can hear it and feel it the same .Drastic improvement .
The only thing I had to do other than installing the kit was smooth up the sear . This is very typical of factory guns . A piece of granite and some 1000 grit sandpaper and it was done . Spent maybe a minute with it .
The kit is great , you get some extra springs to custom taylor it to you . I would definitely buy it again . I saw a video of a guy trashing the kit saying it didn't drop the trigger weight that much and the only thing he saw was the single action was slightly crisper . Well the SA only dropped a lb. for me , but , smoother , drastic improvement in the sponginess , grittiness and creep gone , reset half as long ,that's everything to me .
Customer Support . The best of it all . Have called these guys numerous times . They answered all my questions every time even if it was about something they didn't sell . Got a different guy everytime all were top notch , friendly and helpful .
The gun itself . If you haven't shot one , you need to . I would definitely buy it again . Will be posting picture's of the compensator I made for it soon .
