I recently bought a Kahr CM40. after about 150 rds the plastic mag follower broke. After a few calls to Kahr, I realized their service after the sale rates somewhere between bad to worse.
Does any other company make mags for the CM40? Thanks in advance.

I'm not aware of any....but I would take any free replacement followers and keep asking; Tell Kahr you have 12 magazines with bad followers and then you will have a dozen replacements in your parts kit

This is a sometime problem with some of the polymer models of Kahr's.
What happens is under recoil the magazine follower is being struck by the rear of the barrel and breaking off the front of the follower as the last round is fired.

Kahr will correct the problem for free. Contact them and have them send you a pickup tag and send it in for a free repair.

OR......
If you're not afraid of botching the job and voiding the warranty, you can shave a little metal off the very rear of the barrel below the feed ramp.

Lakeline makes metal replacement followers for Kahr mags.
Apparently these prevent the follower from breaking if struck by the barrel ramp, prevents rounds from falling out of the spare mags, and prevents the downward tilt of the top round in a loaded mag.

Even if someone makes non-Kahr replacement mags, they won't be as good of quality as the genuine factory mags are.
Either get the barrel fixed or buy the Lakeline followers.

My CM9 broke followers too when it was new. Kahr sent me another follower. When the new follower broke they sent me a return tag and fixed the barrel. Works great now.

No problems so far with my CM9 but good to know info should the situation occur.

Thanks for the heads-up!

I have some aftermarket mags, that have worked flawlessly for many years. I don't remember the brand but it was either Promag as mentioned above or Meggar.

I don't know who makes it, but I have what appears to be an aftermarket extended mag for my MK9. It's been reliable, but I got it in trade and there's not a single mark to indicate the manufacturer.
