Has anything come around as an alternative to the old Back Page?
Living in a private party transfer state, I miss it.

Todd.

I browse texasguntrader.com from time to time. Seems pretty popular.
Maybe see if your state has an equivalent.
I'd think Arizona would.

I’ve used this one before

https://www.gunlistings.org/

But in my area armslist.com is more active. I’ve always had good luck with armslist both buying and selling, never had an issue like some on here have described. Suppose it depends on the area you live, and just like Craigslist common sense goes a long ways in feeling out a buyer or seller.

Ya, seems like every pimp bust I was a part of with the underage sex trafficking task force was advertising on backpage.com.

I also had no idea they had gun listings on there.

Stay safe!

Armslist is probably the best nationwide one.

Outside that, I'd look at region-specific firearm forums as many have "marketplace" sections. For example, illinoiscarry.com is another forum I'm on and it has a decent marketplace for a state specific forum.

I also thought backpage was where those so inclined looked for local hookers ...

Can only speak for my state and its neighbors (WA/OR/ID), but we've got regional and local firearm forums that have WTS/WTT/WTB sections, and that's how we do business (even after WA and OR got the UBCs foisted on us). It's very hard for me to believe a gun-friendly state such as Arizona doesn't have its own gun boards ...

I have used Armslist a good deal . buying and selling. It has been a very useful resource. One must keep the radar active and use good judgement , but - if you can sort through the daily onslaught of fake news and propaganda coming at us from all angles Armslist is pretty easy to navigate safely.

Arizonashooting was also great but it’s been down for a year or two as well.

Couesehitetail.com classifieds are also pretty good.

Armslist is pretty good in the metropolitan areas.

Backpage.com was the premier private gun sales classifieds in the state and the popular replacement has been slow unfortunately

I've used armslist to both buy and sell. Like craigslist you have to use some degree of common sense and caution. I've identified obvious scams and reported them. You get those that want to offer a lower price despite posting price is firm in your ad. Then there is the "I'll buy" who back out on meeting for the sale. In other words, just business as usual. I set up all my meetings in a police department parking lot both for my safety and reassurance to the other guy. In my area that's not a problem with the agencies.

Some use THR, scroll down the forums and whalla:what::rofl::neener:

I’m surprised the classifieds forum here isn’t more popular. I would think it would attract a better class of person than the typical Armslist selller.

Maybe I just answered my own question:)

I think it's mostly because THR tends to be more national rather than regional or state specific. I imagine alot of people prefer not to ship or deal with negotiating shipping with someone.

Well.... I'll be dogged!
As simple as that?!?
I wrote up a couple of searches like that and found a few local options, thanks for the nudge!

The only firearm off of THR I have bought was a NIB shotgun from a member that was here in-State, but I have bought reloading supplies from several THR members from all over the US.

Most of my recent firearms have come from a local dealer and a few others from Gun Broker.

I wish there were more local firearm classifieds, but they’re pretty rare here.

Stay safe!
