Yeah, now I want one...

Shot in a GSSF indoor match today at a gun shop about 50 miles away and they had a P365 in stock, but none available to rent. Still too high of a demand apparently.

I was simply amazed at the size! With the standard 10-round magazine, it was a bit small and my pinky hung off the bottom, but it was doable.

Then the dealer got out a 12rd magazine and it became perfect. Wow! Great feeling little pistol and the trigger was surprisingly good. Almost a little too light.

My girlfriend fondled it and fell in love with it. She has officially started a P365 fund, lol.

My only issue with it was that the dealer said the 12-round magazine wasn't included and his price for one was $48. What??!!

Sig can keep the night sights; I want the optional 12-round magazine!

And I've also heard that they will be available with a manual safety; which I would be more comfortable with due to such a light trigger.

So yes, I now can see why these amazing little pistols are flying off the shelves as fast as Sig can make them.

Pretty sure I will be buying one before the WA gun laws go into effect in July.

The shop also had the new Glock 43X and regular 43 and my girlfriend tried those, but didn't like them as much and remarked that they were so much bigger but had less capacity.

Heh, heh ... same thing happened to me -- I fondled one in a gun shop and it just felt so good, I had to buy one. It was almost a bonus that the pistol performs superbly, with a great trigger and amazing accuracy. The 10-round mag with the finger extension is good to go for me, but the 12-rounder is perfect (my dealer charged full MSRP, $55).

Yes they handle in the store very well, haven’t shot one yet. But I can see buying one in the future.

I’m in no rush, I’ll wait till they are readily available and on sale. I have more handguns than hands as it is.

For what it's worth I thought the 365 handled well in the store.

Did not like it under live fire though, too small and squirmed in my grip.

Dumped it and kept my Glock 26.

The 12 round mag makes the grip perfect for me.

Academy sells the 12 round mags for $39.99

I just picked one up a few weeks ago, and have put about 500 rds through it so far. It’s an amazing little pistol. I shot 330 rds through it at the range yesterday, and could have kept going, it just shoots like a much larger gun. For the size, capacity, and shootability, it really is hard to beat, and will most likely become my primary carry gun.

A couple of my shooting mentors have them (since dove season, at least). They won’t shut up about how impressed they are with them.

How light is the trigger? No trigger safety and a light trigger doesn't sound great to me. I would also opt for the manual safety version if I was buying one.

It's not as long a trigger pull as a Kahr; more like a Glock, but smoother.

I don't think its actually light, its just very smooth and feels light.

At least the one I had didnt seem overly light.

I do not think mine is that heavy, but when they are smooth they feel lighter than they are. I do not have a trigger gauge to test it though. IMHO, it is approaching to light for carry, approaching, not under, again, IMHO.

I just measured the trigger pull on mine and it's 5.25 pounds.

Depending on where on the trigger I index the gauge, mine measures between 5.5-6.25 lb. When I first got it it was measuring 6.0-6.5 lb, so it's definitely lightened up a little through about 500 rds. Anywhere in the 5.0-6.0lb range is about perfect for a carry gun, IMO.

I have about 2000 rounds through mine, which may account for the lighter trigger.

Try one, you'll like it ... (wasn't that a commercial for potato chips back in the '70s?) 12+1 rounds ... compared to 12+1 rounds (with a far better trigger, much smaller, and awesome sights)

I'm wondering if Glocks answer to the 365 is the 43x? If so, the 43x is a much bigger gun.... It's nice to see someone get one over on Glock

My 71 y/o father picked one up a couple of months ago... he has a few hundred various rounds through without issue. Says he absolutely loves the 365... and likes the custom Sig P365 defensive ammo best and carries that. Indeed, it is a nice feeling gun. The magazine cost is definitely a factor in my hesitation to buy it, as are some of the past known issues... broken springs, peening, etc... they say they have resolved them, but not sure I am ready to retire my trusty G26 for a 365 quite yet. Going to wait for this public beta test to end.

No issues with my Oct. dated version, ~700 rounds so far. Sig should have ditched the 'pinky extension' mag and included the 12rd.

A strange, yet good thing...mine really doesn't get dirty. Not sure why, my CZ needs a solid q-tip treatment every range trip but this little gun barely has any buildup.

Wife has one. The 12 rd mag really helps the fit.
Firing pin drags across the primer. That's something "new" to me, but apparently not to others.
IMHO, the slide itself is quite simple,,, Haven't (probably won't) dive into the rest of the internals anytime soon.

Had to chuckle during our buying experience,,,,,,, The salesman kept calling it a single stack,,,, =)
