What Pistol do you carry.

My Sig P238 is with me everywhere, sometimes my SP101, or LCR also. But I always have my Sig .

Lightweight Commander in .45 ACP. Sometimes a Officer's size 1911 in .45 Acp.

Today, it rained pretty hard. I carried a S&W Governor, in case I ran into any rattlers or moccasins
moving around.

S&W M&P Shield in 9mm. I also have the Shield in .45 and like to carry that instead sometimes. Both have their own kydex holster, carried AIWB.

Just got an M&P 2.0 40 compact after Christmas.

LCP or SW MP340 (my favorite carry piece) Have a G26 too. But it doesn’t get much carry time with the other 2 being more convenient.

For many, many decades the most common carry handgun for me was one of my snub nose revolvers. The make and model varied; Colt, Smith, Ruger, Charter, Taurus but in almost all cases it would be loaded with 38 Special JHPs. Now one or more of the small 380 mini pocket pistols has become the norm. The Beretta Pico, S&W M&P Bodyguard 380 and the Remington RM 380 are all about equal in most every way and the Ruger LCP is also carried at times but its lack of a true double action firing system and the horrid double reset trigger keep it from really playing with the big kids. They all have been reliable and reasonably accurate. All but the Pico have at least one truly annoying feature; the trigger double reset on the LCP, on the BG380 its habit of dropping the slide when I remove an empty magazine unless I make sure the slide stop is fully engaged and the really long trigger reset on the Remington RM380.

Over the decades there have only been a few handguns where I simply could not find anything annoying; some Colt revolvers; S&W 19, 27, 28; Browning BDM; Star UltraStar; Harrington & Richardson pre-Defender top-break revolver and the Beretta Pico.

I'm not a fan of striker fired pistols but accidental or negligent discharges while getting ready for cleaning is the same as keeping your finger off the trigger while holstering the gun. It plain should NEVER be an issue.

I ALWAYS (emphasis implied) make sure my guns are safe and unloaded before doing anything associated with cleaning and dis-assembly. Among other reasons it makes sense. You know what they say about ASSUME.

Blinding disassembling a firearm without checking that it is unloaded first is just plain not an option.

Of course, as they say, you cannot fix stupid.

I won't carry a pistol with potential energy stored in the firing control system, aka striker fired or SA cocked and locked, of the pistol but that is related to my comfort level. But that is my issue and does not mean that if others are comfortable with striker fired or SA pistols they should not carry it.

P.S. I'm a big fan of M1911 pistols but I use a H&K P30SK sa/da for my carry pistol.

Any one of the 3. Depends on my mood or how deep the concealment needs to be.

Generally my Kimber Micro 380. However, my Browning 1911-380 is slowly replacing it.

642-1 on occasion
G40, S&W 610-2 (4"), or S&W 627 (6") for woods carry.

Today, an Auto Ordinance M1911A1 of recent manufacture but high round count.

Really depends on the weather & my mood but more than anything I carry my .357 LCR. In the summer time when I have shorts on or am just running to the store I might just throw my .380 M&P bodyguard in my pocket. In the winter when I'm wearing hoodies I like to carry my SR1911 commander. I'm strongly considering the Sig P365 right though. I kind of want to hold the Glock 43x in hand before I make up my mind though.

Walther PPQ M2 in .40 cal during the winter. Kahr CW 45 last summer but moving to G19 Gen 5 this summer.

I carried a nickel plated Browning P-35 for many years.
Then a Glock 26
Now I carry a sig P238

Mostly Glock 27 Gen4 but sometimes Glock 23 Gen4.

Beretta Pico in the pocket. Otherwise, a Glock 26 on the belt IWB. Occasionally, with the right pockets, a Charter Bulldog.
