Some of us make our own lanolin case lube. Measuring the stuff can be messy and here's a trick I adapted from the doctor's office.

I only mix a small amount of lube at a time so that if a spill happens, cleanup will be easier. My mix is 6ml per 100ml of isopropanol and that's all I keep on hand. So I need to accurately measure only 6ml of this thick gooey stuff. I think the picture says it all. Simply invert and withdraw the amount you need, turn back upright to remove the syringe from the cap and dispense. Replace the syringe in the cap and leave at mid travel for storage as you see it in the picture.

2ozs of lanolin and a 16oz bottle of 99% isopropanol in a spray bottle...toss in two 9mm bullets, shake well. Place your cases into a large tin foil turkey pan, spray with your mixture and let them dry, about 5 minutes. You're ready to reload.... Mixture lasts for years and is such a simple, inexpensive option compared to other lubricating methods.

I also heat the alcohol in hot water to promote mixing. Mama get upset when I store the finished product in a pantry in room temperature, but it sure works better than if left in a cold shop.

Two lead .38 bullets work better as an agitator in my bottle. LOL But you get the idea. Ball bearings would also work.

Never thought about adding a couple of ball bearings to the mix to aid in mixing. Off to the hardware store I go!!
