anyone own one? are they out yet?
a friend mentioned it to me, and an internet search turned up a video on youtube from 2018 shot show, which looked cool. but i can't find it on their website. anyone have the skinny?

They rereleased the CP2000 (I guess you could say that?) at Shot Show 2019. From what I have read, there were some kinks and alterations that needed ironed out and thus it didn’t make a release in 2018. From my understanding, it sounds like spring or summer of 2019 is the new anticipated release, along with the new RL1100.

cool thanks! i've been kind of thinking about my wish list for a machine to prep thousands of pieces of match brass.
my thoughts so far are:

clean, anneal, dump in hopper
station 1: decap
station 2: resize, bushing die, no expander button
station 3: neck, sinclair expander mandrel
station 4: prime

i'm not sure it matters what order 1-3 are in though.
very curious to see what people do with 7 threaded stations
i know an electric trimmer would be good for some, but i don't want that. neither do i want a swager messing with my primer pockets on match brass

How do you plan on trimming then?

the cartridge i'm shooting just doesn't need it. never seems to grow. i trim the new brass in a giraud. i like the way it chamfers and deburs. i don't want to use a trimmer that cuts at 90*. don't know how to attach my giraud to the toolhead haha

Just get an extra tool head for the 1050, size/trim on one powder measure seat crimp on the other.

In other words any press can be a case prep only press, just don’t add primers powder and bullets.

A shooting buddy preps on a 650 before he loads on his 1050. He was thinking about going with the new Mark 7 Evolution to do it all in one machine

That’s still the way I do it because I started loading .223 with a 650 so already had everything.

The 1050 was later to incorporate swaging primer pockets as I load vs an extra step.

yeah i sold one of my 1050s but still have 2. i've tried just sizing on it and i always thought it was a pain. but who knows? maybe i should try again

Is that the Dillon trimmer or something you made? Looks bigger in pictures than the Dillon one, but have never seen one in person so just going off internet pics. I would really like something like that, but for $350ish will most likely stick with the possum hollow & drill

Did you ever have a chance to use the XL650 swage systems?

Here's a CP2000 running with an auto drive

Slick! What happens when you get a little hiccup like the case feeder doesn't push all the way into station 1 or something? Does that drive recognize the resistance & slip or just crush stuff & carry on?

Hmm maybe that’s not what I’m really looking for

That is the Dillon trimmer in the photo above and no I never messed with the 650 swage stuff.

They lack a backup rod so they can only do as good of a job as the shell plate and shoulder bolt will allow, flexing/bending. Mixed reviews and why they void the Dillon warranty. All of the other methods that work well and don’t cut use an internal back up rod.

Talked to Dillon yesterday. Cool press but not what I’m looking for. I ordered the stuff to prep on a 1050
