I didn't have a picture handy when I started this thread, but I do have one other 1911. A Colt Series 70. It was restored from pretty bad condition to what you see here by the same gunsmith that worked on my other 1911. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but I'm looking forward to it.

A lot of nice one guys.

I can't wait to show my latest (second) one off once I take possession of it, hopefully Tuesday.

According to FedEx its currently in Memphis.

I may get thrown out of the 1911 brotherhood for this....here's a few rim fire versions.

Brother Rembrandt in the 1911 community all are welcome! Centerfire or rimfire, blued steel or stainless, full size or compact; it makes no difference. Be it .45ACP, 38 Super, 9mm., 10mm., or .22LR; we all share a kinship in our appreciation of John Moses Browning's outstanding creation!

Love those stag grips along with double diamond ones with the Marine Corps emblem!

Ah, you noticed that did you?

Way back in the day Colts were pretty much the only game in town so that's pretty much what I gravitate to when looking for a 1911.

Might try something in a Ruger or Dan Wesson next in 9mm. and still think about getting another Colt; possibly a Gold Cup National Match.
