So midwat had the lee load master set up for 9mm $230.00 been wanting a new press so I bought it.
Received it today and went to setting it up.
Pretty finicky so far I have about a dozen finished rounds.
But..... I got tired so thought I would quit for tonite.
Case feeder a lil problematic I got the case collated several upside down cases and it feeds properly most of the time. Going to have to spend some more time with it.
Any pointers would be helpful.
Also as I was aware it has a lot of plastic parts that are going to go south what should I have extra of?
Will keep you posted of progress.

I would suggest call customer service and have them walk you through the final adjustments. Lee has always provided me great CS and I'm willing to be they will gladly do so.

Have you done the penny hack?
Drill a hole in a penny and use a spent 22LR case to hold the penny in the center of case collator - No more upside down 9mm cases.

Not a lot of love for the LM out there but if you take the time to figure them out they can run with any press.

On the one I had I adapted an electric collator.

If the only problem you have is upside down cases because of the collator, you have pretty smooth sailing.

Bds good tip.
I was very tired last nite while setting this guy up. I was having trouble with well I thought everything but after a good night's sleep think it's just new to me and Was getting frustrated.
This weekend we are getting lots of rain so going to take my time and figure out each station and get completely clear on its working.
Sunday nite I will make my up my mind to either toss the box it came in or put it in the box and send it back.

If you do end up returning the Loadmaster, have you considered Auto Breech Lock Pro?

It's 4 station progressive with manual "Safety Prime" primer attachment but other than that, seems to have issues of other Lee presses addressed. Set up is very straight forward with essentially no "tinkering" needed after dies are adjusted.

Can also be used as single stage press

Forget the penny hack for the collator. Try this instead it really does work and works very well. Cannot speak to the Loadmaster press but I can attest to the Auto Breech Lock Pro. As far as I am concerned the way the Loadmaster is set up with the priming and die positions the press has one wasted position. Why are 2 positions needed to deprime and size a case before it moves to priming? Also take yourself to youtube as there are hours of videos posted as to how to make that press run really sweet.

I ran Loadmaster presses for several years, still own 3, but have switched to a Hornady LnL. There are many things you can do to make your Loadmaster experience better, but the single best improvement I made to mine was mounting a mirror over the priming station to make sure primers were seated properly. I was able to make the priming system mostly trouble free, but sometimes things go wrong and being that you are priming at the same time you are doing everything else you often cant feel that there has been a problem.

Probably more ways to do this but I used the Lee explosion shield, a flexible mirror, strong clamp, and flexible book reading light. Clamp the mirror at an angle that lets you look down into each case and set the book light up so you can see in it. Looks like this.

Now as you are loading you can watch the primers being seated. If it misses a primer or flips it upside down or even crushes it sideways you can simply yank that case off and keep going, or at least you know to stop and fix whatever problem may have occurred.

Here is a case that wasn't primed.

Here is a case that was primed perfectly.

Its easy to tell a flipped or crushed primer too. Probably the single biggest complaint with the Loadmaster is with the priming system, and it does take a little tinkering sometimes to get it as smooth as possible, but this mod lets you know immediately if something needs attention.

So.......
Got the press up running pretty well.
Got 200 test rounds loaded up once I get to the range and see what works best then really start cranking out some ammo.
Was hard to stop once I got rolling. But no fun 1000 bad rounds.
Thanx for all your help
