Does anyone have any experience with .30-30 and IMR 4227? I found load data in one of my manuals yesterday and it has intrigued me. Hodgdon doesn't list any data on their site.

No direct experience with it when I was loading 30/30, but here is some IMR/DuPont jacketed data:

Cast data should be more plentiful, here is some: Good luck.

The data I found for cast is pretty impressive. I have some coated bullets that this should work great with.

I loaded it under some 170grn commercial cast bullets, it was an excellent powder and turned in the lowest SD of the 4 powders I used for testers, I've also used it with cast in my .308 chambered Savage 99. It has also become my favorite powder for the .41 Magnum when I load them for my Marlin 1894, and I have some test loads for the .45 Colt loaded up, too, waiting to test.
