Great Find Today

Happened to find this NIB Model 66-1 today. What makes this extra Special is the Factory Round Butt Target Grips along with Target Hammer and Target Trigger.

I don't mind. I actually bought 2 from the same collection. Both 2.5" Model 66-1's. Both NIB. The other one had standard grips, hammer and trigger. I gave 2k for the pair. I kept the one in the picture and let the owner of my LGS have the other for 1k.

I didn't win the lottery for sure and I have been extremely lucky in the last few months with the guns I've found. I have had to sell some of my other stuff to keep some of the nice guns I've found lately. And some of those will probably eventually get sold or traded for things I find down the road. I enjoy the hunt for guns as much if not more than owning and shooting them. It just amazes me what you can find if you look hard enough. Something else that amazes me is how many nice and/or new guns there are out there that are 40-100 years old. And one huge difference in me and the average collector. I will shoot the hell out of a real nice collectable gun. A NIB gun will probably get a pass, but every other gun I buy is going to get shot. If I like the way it shoots, I will shoot it until I realize it is not in the regular rotation going to the range and then I may pass it along so someone else can enjoy it. I get a real kick out of trying different loads and finding what works best in most every gun I buy.
