Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I admire the work and craftsmanship that goes into elegant firearms design, well carved checkering on a shotgun, elegant engraving on a lock-plate, the patterns of colour case hardening, the patina on an old, well handled revolver, the oil, sweat and grease stains on a service rifle stock... I could go on.
These tell us stories of lives lived and lost, of craftsmanship and hard work. Love? maybe not but it gets close!
