I missed buying the Frankford Arsenal Perfect Seat Hand Primer when it was on sale at Cabela's months ago. I think it was something like $42 at the time or $49 and I waited too long and then it was over! I have been looking for it again and the cheapest I have seen it for is $70!!!

Has anyone seen it online for less lately? I'm really wanting one. (boy did I mess up)
Thank you.

Yup you missed the boat but there might be a better consolation prize, Lee bench primer.

I too was thinking about getting another hand primer but since I still have my "original" Lee Auto Prime with extra handles and enough hand /thumb strength to operate the Lee XR hand primer, I decided to go with Lee bench primer and glad I made the decision (Should have done it long time ago). Mount it on a piece of wood for portable priming.

Titan Reloading has it for $25 - https://www.titanreloading.com/lee-priming-tools-and-shell-holders/lee-auto-bench-prime

You could use the bench primer while saving money for the FA hand primer ... to find out you are happy with the bench primer (as your young strong hands will eventually become weaker and arthritic - No, I don't have arthritis ... yet). ;)

the lee bench is on my short list.

My hands are already old, they kinda followed the rest of me lol.

I appreciate the suggestion but I'm really only interested in the FA primer at this time. I have an RCBS, Lee and another one I forget which. I want the micro adjustment feature.

I'm really happy that I went this route. It requires much less pressure than a hand primer...I've used both the RCBS and the LEE...and is very consistent in seating depth (mine used to vary as my hands got tired) I can prime at almost twice the speed with it using one hand to load cases into the shell holder and the other to unload them.

I have mine mounted on in Inline Fabrication Quick Change top plate for my Ultramount to usually holds my Lee Classic Cast SS.

As for the Lee bench primer, I fitted it with the RCBS universal tray. Works much better than the tray that comes with the primer. My opinion.

Guys please, I already asked everyone not to change the topic from where I can find the FA primer at a good price to the Lee bench primer. I don't want the Lee tool thank you.

I just primed a couple hundred 32 S&W blank cases ok the old Lee hand primer I've been using since forever and my 3/4 century hands are pi$$£d. Arthur Ritis is a jerk. Gonna order one of those tonight. Now. Just did.

I know this is an old thread and if you have already bought one. Right now Amazon has it for $53.84

Not quite the $49 you were looking for:(

I recently bought the 'new' (to me, anyway) bench primer and the Hornady hand primer. Wrote reports on them on the blog. Nice thing about the Hornady is the shell holder is the same holder as used on the single stage press. Which simplifies my life.

Any users of the Frankford Arsenal hand primer?
How do you like it?
I like to hand prime, and to me the Round tray Lee hand primer was great( wish I would have bought 1/2 dozen), the square tray one not so good and the one with the new triangle shaped tray just ok.
I like to prime while watching the TV so not really interested in a bench model.

.

I have one but have not used it yet. I have not primed much of anything recently with any priming tool. Too busy with other projects. (Who said retired folks have lots of time on their hand?:))

It looks good and well made. I think I tried a Lee priming tool shell holder in it and it fit.
