URGENT: Bumpstock Ban STAY; What to Do...

Who needs a bump stock? I hear Washington State will buy them for $150, If I had a 3D printer I'd make some money.

Useless piece of equipment, not even a good choice facing a horde of zombies, having said that, I'm against any bill that disarms us as that is their goal not bump-stocks. In reality, none of us need more than 10 round mags, but once again it's about disarmament and not safety.
I've spent decades in war zones in combat support on front lines and was too busy in a supporting role to even shoulder my weapon.
Warfare has changed drastically where RPG's are used as anti-personnel weapons more often than the AK. Other than RPG's the other biggest threats are snipers and IED's. A 30 round M4 is not much use except for closer encounters (150m). Most encounters necessitated crew served weapons (M60, M2, Mortars, FN Mag), snipers and sharpshooters and RPG's.
Even the VC and NVA extensively used RPG's for creating holes in a defensive line.
As a police officer I carried a BHP with 3 spare mags each mag 10 rounds as I did not want to compress the mags, never felt under gunned, although I also carried a BUG, Model 60 38 special and a patrol rifle (M1 Carbine for many years).

I realize things have changed but a 1911 with an M1 carbine or a Glock or Beretta with a Ruger Ranch Rifle is more than most of us really need. That and an 870 or 590A1 and there's nothing to fear but fear itself.
Bump stock? Good for murdering innocents at a concert and making lots of noise. Full auto is rarely neccessary even in combat.
In fact, in Albuquerque a guy stole a cop car armed with an AK and was eventually subdued with careful semiautomatic fire from the officers M4's. A bump stock wouldn't have helped anyone.

I am not sure what you are saying. Useless, I get, even against things that don’t even exist.

“Against any bill”, (no bill was ever passed in the House or Senate), just selling out some folks that elected the POTUS but don’t matter in re-election as far as numbers are concerned, at least in theory. Just another step and you are right, it’s not about bump stocks, semiautos, safety, it’s about disarmament.

One step at a time, day after day. I have full confidence they will achieve their goal. Divide and conquer seems to be working pretty well for them so far.

“What we need” keeps on being smaller and smaller groups of people. Until they realize why “need” wasn’t even mentioned in the 2nd Amendment and why....

The day that "need" is a determining factor for a right, we are in deep trouble.

You need to understand this isn't about need. It's about control and knee jerk reactions.

Do you want a nation of CA's?
Cause precedent like this is how you get a nation of CA's.

Nope, you need headshots for those walkers.

Jerry Miculek was cited above, but I'd like to direct your attention to this Jerry (You're my hero!) Miculek video where he takes on another trained shooter. Trained shooter with bump stock, Jerry with a plain AR platformed rifle. They were almost dead even for emptying their mags into their respective targets. That's not the takeaway, though. Both highly trained shooters, Jerry's shot group was much tighter than the bump stock pattern. Now someone not as well trained will have bigger patterns if simply trying to speed fire. The untrained shooter with a bump stock will likely have bullets flying everywhere.
One of the things we did in basic training was to try to put an entire mag's worth of bullets in as tight a group as possible with the selector switch on "rock and roll". This was to demonstrate to us, since back in those days just after trebuchets were the thing in warfare and we hadn't heard of an M-4 yet, that semi was the smarter selection for more likely kills. Spray and pray was pretty ineffective in many situations.
Just like the biggest fans of motor drives on film cameras were the film manufacturers, I think the biggest fans of bump stocks are the ammo makers.

Check the video:

Give miculek the bump stuck and his group would be even tighter though. I dont own one nor ever wanted one but the point of the outrage was this
One man with a pen and zero oversight made legally owned property, which was deemed legal by the very governing body of that property, illegal and ordered to be destroyed with no compensation. Just because he felt like it.

What if Cortez was elected and signed the same thing for internal combustion engines? Or even just diesel engines? Would you duramax/Cummins/powerstroke drivers say oh well we never really needed a diesel and destroy your 60k truck just because a nutjob with a pen decided it wasn't needed and therefore illegal?? After all they aren't needed. A big block gas would do just as good. Bob Chandler pulled things with his bigfoot with a 460 gas engine. Many do in sled pulls. If Miculek can shoot fast so everyone should be able too= Hennessy can have 1000hp from gasoline therefore no need for a diesel. Ronnie Coleman can bench press the rear end of a Dodge truck I saw it on YouTube, so we can just ban floor Jack's, afterall that one guy can do it.... the entire argument here is ludacris. If ever there were a missing the forest for all the trees.......
What you guys are doing is comparing different people. Give me a performance center 44 and Miculek a snub nose charter and the takeaway from you guys would be that a snubby beats a PC hunter. My takeaway is Jerry is an amazing shooter and I'm not. I can dunk in flip flops, Jerry probably cant in Nikes. Doest mean Nikes aren't the better basketball shoe does it.
Anyway. That is my yearly mad-max style rant before the lock
