Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

Gunny,

I will take the rest of the junk that is in the box off of your hands for free. Normally I expect folks to pay me for taking their trash but I am making a special offer to you in recognition of your contribution starting my AR addiction.

It is a nice-looking box even with the junk in it.
Thanks so much for the kind offer, but I think I'll find a use for the stuff that came with the box.:)
I need to finish the AR pistol build I started. I'm not sure if I sold the 10" upper I built or stuffed it away. I need to look around the shop before I order more parts.
Oh! Primary Arms has a clearance sale with barrels under $50.

Gunny,

My offer still stands should you ever decide to clean and organize your man cave again.

I keep kicking the can around trying to decide if I want to build a AR pistol. I still have that smooth side upper and a stripped lower I brought last Fall stashed away. o_O

I sent the IRS my "Tax Cut" check this week so now I can work on building the bank account back up for some fun money.

picked up this this 12 ga western field for montgomery ward stores. stevens made the gun. i am still trying to date it, somewhere from 1920-1935. got it for $100 some light rust spots, which cleaned off with copper wool barrel is 32'' with 2 3/4 chamber.

Stopped at the local Pawn & Gun shop on my way home today and found three M&P9 magazines in the used mag. There was no price on them. When I asked how much, I was asked it $10 would be good. I handed the guy $20 and he gave me $10 back. I would have to say that I got a heck of a deal.:D

Hi...
My son had delivered to my house 500 each plated 158gr .357Mag and 230gr .45ACP bullets along with a bunch of MTM plastic cartridge boxes and a neck sizing die for his Tikka .308.
I think he said the bullets were from Everglades and the other stuff from MidSouth.

He intends to load the bullets on our LnLs since he used up most of my cast lead bullets during a loading session a couple of weeks ago. He doesn't like the exposed lead cast bullets and wants to test plated bullets for our generic paper punching/ general purpose loads in those two calibers.
No problem for me...anything that gets him more experience reloading can't be a bad thing.

Gunny,

That is just plain mean to post this as I have two M&P's to feed. :(

I picked up my S&W 5906 today, my Letter Carrier delivered a Pachmayr grip and new recoil spring for it. I also received two more mag holders for my matches.

AK recoil spring, made by ALG. A stronger spring easily reduces stress on rear trunnions.
Retainer plate, USA-made. This is very easy to install, much better than wiggling any type of tiny "shepherd's hook" into the grooves of the hammer and trigger pins.

AKOU ("Rob Ski's" website) sells these plus other AK items.

I just bought the last of RMR's 9mm 124 "seconds"; their seconds work as well as anything else.

Waiting for me when I got home from work; a complete 1911 upper from Sarco. I know, lots of Sarco haters out there but under $200 shipped to mate with my stripped Fusion frame. This will be a .45ACP complete 1911 for under $500 and a fun project as well.

Going to take some fitting...

A shotgun cleaning kit with the brushes, swabs, and rod ends.

I been using the bore snakes for years and guess I just forgot why I wasn't using the rod kits any more.

Not much, lately. I've had to scrape couch change to get by for a while.
But I've had a couple decent enough months that I not only treated myself to some personal stuff, I've managed to get the appropriate sling, cleaning kit, and soviet-issue oil bottle for my old Mosin Nagant.
It's the little things.

Got a Beamshot RF9/B mount for the 20 gauge 870, it comes with silicon spacers so it will fit a range of gauges.
Another nice thing about it is you can mount it on a vent rib barrel.
It went on easily and I paired it with the Elzetta ZRX mount to hold the light.

Hi...
Picked up the on press priming system for my RockChucker Supreme today.
Ordered it 5-6 weeks ago from a LGS.
Picked up a couple of boxes of .223 Frontier cartridges and some targets while I was at the gun shop.

Gun auction tomorrow in Gettysburg...maybe I can find something good to bid on.

Hi...
Went to a gun auction in Gettysburg today.
Bidding was spirited to say the least.
Didn't buy much...bidding was just too high for most items that I was interested in.

Bought a stack of 5 soft side rifle cases for $21... couple of nice ones in the bunch so I got my money's worth a couple of times over. Also got an NRA Winchester counter mat...probably hang it somewhere in the garage or the reloading room. Only cost me $2...
Pretty much a waste of an auction... I was surprised how high reloading components, ammunition and associated items went.
My son tried to buy a couple of rifles and shotguns but they were bid up to and over the cost of new models...he was somewhat frustrated.

I suppose it was just an example of how things sometimes go at auctions but it was a bit surprising.

Hoping for better luck at the next auction in a couple of weeks.
