He's not reviewing.. he's making a commercial so he can get more free stuff. If you like to pretend a guy making a commercial is actually reviewing something and not spitting a line of crap go ahead. You wanna prostitute your character for free stuff go ahead. Tell people something is perfect when you know they are gonna have troubles right from the start... just edit out all your failures and for that you can keep getting more free stuff.

What press did he claim was perfect? He gave the specs on each and what his measurements showed. The wrote them all up in a review.

Umm, you seem bitter. I used to wonder about that, then on another forum I saw a guy post a question on a Lee progressive and get dumped on really bad by Dillon fans for owning something other than blue. I am really glad we don't see much of that here and I understand you much better now. I just thought ratings would be nice in the conclusion, that's all.

Bitter? about what? You seem confused, I give him a positive post?? He gave ratings in the form of data however you want to interpret them, not his opinion. No, there is no Blue Koolaid drinkers here, nope none at all.:uhoh:

No, dude, it's just that you bring Blue up all the time and now I understand why. Nothing to get huhu about. I did not intend this thread to be a Gavin-bashing kind of thing. I just thought we all might enjoy the video. I am sorry I brought this up.

I'm in the camp that doesn't care that they get freebies. I like their reviews. Sometimes their biases creep in, but so what. If I weren't biased myself, I'd probably never notice their biases. Except, it's hard not to notice that H45 is an unabashed, self proclaimed Glock fanboy. But, again, so what. I don't watch his Glock videos anyway. The right arrow on the keyboard takes care of the sometimes long sponsor acknowledgements and other lulls in the action. ymmv

I thought the vid is very well done, with a lot of info on some of the presses that I never knew about, delivered in a professional manner.
It was not full of out of focus/shaky camera shots and had limited "and ums", "where was I", "grunts or snorts", not even any wheezing/gasping/bloviating/fat geezer rolling around on an office chair because he's too lazy to stand up. :scrutiny:

Riddle me this,,,,

Who knows more about / actually does more reloading,,,,

Gavin,,,

Or ~the blonde~ who shows you the Dillon presses on the Dillon Precision YouTube channel????

Example of ~the blonde~ ;

LMAO!!!!

I like Gavin's vids as he usually has some new press or other new reloading item that I've never seen outside of an online ad by a vendor or a manufacturer.
I don't watch his vids with any illusion that he's there to teach me how to reload,,,
'Blondie' is just another method of marketing,,,

I'm also surprised at the level of the negativity here...this was meant as an informational video not an instructional one

I like his channel because it is very professionally presented...I've seen a lot of on-line reloading videos and his rank among the best. His lighting is good, his camera steady, his change of angles very appropriate to illustrate his points, he speaks clearly and his sound quality is good. Most of his content isn't meant to be instructional, but illustrative. He's introducing his audience to products they might not know about or don't have access to handle. He doesn't have to be an expert at reloading to show you the features of a product.

This video has been his most comprehensive in that besides demonstrating the product he also collected data on their quality and performance. That data is laid out for the viewer to study and arrive at their own conclusion as to which best fits their individual needs. I don't think it matters that the presses were supplied to his by the manufacturer and that he didn't mention it...I wouldn't have expected otherwise.

His video which was the most instructional, to me, was where he explained about calibrating different presses to allow dies to me interchanged between them without adjustment. I allowed me to seamlessly move dies, mounted in Hornady Bushings, between my LNL progressive and my Lee Classic Cast single stage

Yep, I agree with you guys. The Rock Chucker proved it makes better ammo then the other, more expensive presses. OH, I also agree you can't argue with the numbers. Bottom line, if you are in the market for the best single stage press, Buy a Rock Chucker Supreme.

"Fake" youtubers and "real" youtubers are all the same to me- personalities and content, I take it for what it is and sometimes a grain of salt with it.

I like that ultimate reloaded has good camera angles and video quality, and I have seen what I wanted to see demonstrated in at least a few cases. I guess I never thought of him as a source of deep info, but rather wide. Take him for what he is and get what value is there.

If anything I'm glad there's still enough money in guns to support shills, indicates a healthy industry.

He's not reviewing.. he's making a commercial so he can get more free stuff.

Welcome to the twenty-first century where everything is a commercial. The little alligator on your shirt, the logo on the back of your jeans, the emblem on the rear of your vehicle... this culture is so saturated with ads that we don't even notice them anymore.

I was watching Hickok45's review of the Glock 43X yesterday and chuckling to myself. He liked it for what it was, but he was sending it back to Bud's Gun Shop because it wasn't a gun he would buy for himself. Now, YouTube no longer pays for hits on any videos if the subject is gun related. But there he is, spending 45 minutes to make a video, and then he's got the time and expense of shipping the gun back to Bud's. All so he can never get paid. Like you, I highly doubt it.

Believe me, I'm on your side in all this, but it's a battle you can't win. So I'd rather congratulate those individuals who improve their lot in life by playing the game well.

For what it’s worth there won’t be many left soon no matter if they are good or bad the way the progressive you tube and google are going. It used to be you could google what you are looking for and then it was up to you to decide which ones were worth watching. Take what you wanted from them and leave what you didn’t but these days the amount that you can find are getting smaller by the day it seems by those who are offended by them.
