I own one of their pieces. I am happy with my purchase... however, have to tell you that yes it is functional but has no smithing signature, and the blade itself did not look completed at the tip of the Shinken. The wood work is good, but the saya is not made out of the best materials, but it does have horns at both ends respectfully. The saya is easily cut when performing sayabiki, and also has a problem with keeping the sword locked in. Other than those details, the sword performs exactly as it should.
