So I got my new 6.8 upper assembly from Daniel defense. Took the 4 x 14 leupold scope off my old AR. Used a laser bore sighter the night before and off to the range the next morning, took it over to the fifty yard range to get her zeroed in and sure enough the darn scope mount is to damn high. Cranked up as far as the sight will go I'm still 6" off. Now I got to shell out for a new scope mount. Rifle was superbly accurate as long as I compensated for it. I was always taught to aim high in life but I don't think this is what they meant.:uhoh:

That doesn't sound like the scope mount being to high, that sounds like a misalignment somewhere.

Make sure your mount is settled all the way on the rail.

Checked all that out several times while there. This is an old 3 piece mount, one attaches to the upper rail, the middle one attaches to the first and then the scope rings. In addition it's hard to get a good cheek weld, have to pick your head up.

Is it a carry handle mount??? If so, that's your problem.

I've heard of an AR being called the Lego for adults , but this time it's gone to far!

rings on top of a riser on top of a riser?
Ditch that mount!

Thought of that but the Larue is shorter, more ridged and has less parts.
