CZ opening new manufacturing plant in Little Rock, AR

Sounds great; definitely a win/win for CZ and for fans of CZ guns! I am kind of curious as to what guns they'll be making at the new factory for the U.S. marketplace.

Any idea where you read that? I'd love to get a link if you do.
Umm I'd have to dig, but I think it was on the CZ forum last year. They only mentioned of opening a factory in the US, but didn't name a specific location. So hearsay. But I thought someone mentioned Kansas. Is there a plant currently there? Been a while since I looked into it.

CZ-USA is based in KCK. Used to be North KC. I think in the past they had some minor assembly and smithing work, but it's not a factory as we consider one even if legally it was the manufacturer.

Not like Kansas is gun unfriendly, we have a lot of manufacturing here in KC, so weird all articles are about moving to "gun friendly" AR, as though fleeing a horrible place.

Kansas and Missouri were the initial states being looked at but our Governor met up with CZ execs at the shot show this year. Between him and others the CZ ship steered it's course to Little Rock.

Don't believe CZ is fleeing anything, but the governor of Arkansas met with them at the Shot Show and probably offered a lot of incentives to move to Little Rock.
The Kansas facility is a distributorship, Arkansas will be a manufacturing plant.

The comments following the blog post are really negative. Typical anti comments and reasoning.
Should have warned folks that the second link was the Arkansas Times which is an alternative web only publication now. It is run by refugees from the defunct Arkansas Gazette which at the end had a largely urban liberal readership.

I'll do some digging, then. Thanks for the heads-up, though. As I understand it, KC has its HQ, but those are offices (as someone else already mentioned). I ask because Choate Machine and Tool, which does a lot of polymer injection molding, is right up the road in lovely, scenic Bald Knob, Arkansas. So I'm wondering if Choate will get a chance at making CZ stocks.

I meant the part where the HQ is officially KCK now, but will purportedly (half the news stories) be moving to AR.

And "fleeing" is SO much more fun to say than "moving"!

I lived in Overland Park Kansas for 12 years, you'd be hard pressed to find two friendlier states then KS and MO. KCK is not the nicest part of town, I'd be fleeing as well.

cz still makes the 550 but only for the magnum, i wish they would state making the 550 or a updated crf action. cz knows what sells, i just hope they make what i like and can have. id love a z scorpion carbine thats NY compliant.
