I just got a new job so I am taking a different way home now On the way home I stopped at a gun shop that I had never been to before. They had a fair amount of BP stuff mostly for inlines.

In the back corner of one show case were 2 BP revolvers. One was a 44 cal navy brasser. The other one looked like a nickled 1858. Just for fun I asked to see the 1858

Low and behold it was not nickled it was STAINLESS Made by Pietta and imported by Navy Arms in 1991. The price was marked as $200 but I dickered it down to $170. I'm cheap and sneaky

I have always wanted a stainless C&B pistol but never had the cash. I am one happy camper .

Great find and buy! Im not so lucky as here in deep south texas no one is into these types of guns and pawn shops/ gun shops dont have or sell them...and when you ask they have no idea what youre talking about so its obvious one has never passed through their shop. But i have hope that one day ill find that amazing deal just as you have

Nice

Dumb gun shop, makes one wonder what low price they got it for. Musing out loud, Navy arms imported from Pietta ?, mine are Ubertis.

Congrats on a great piece at a great price. Love the the gorgeous grips! If it wasn't unfired, it was REALLY well maintained. I have a couple of Ruger Old Army that were like that and a T/C Cherokee with both barrels that I know was never shot. I suspect some BP guns are given as gifts and just never used. Maybe they were meant to be display pieces or maybe the recipient didn't want to be 'bothered' with black powder shooting and clean up. In the meanwhile, the rest of us might get lucky with these finds.

I'm usually not a fan of stainless, but that looks great.
