Where do your tumblers run?

I run my wet tumbler on the bottom of a Rubbermaid Commercial plastic utility cart. I put a maple insert in the top of the cart and that's the little bit of work surface I keep for various tasks. I like that it's mobile so I can at least push it out of the way to clean the floor and the plastic cart will hold any water that leaks, though leaking is a problem I've never had.

I've been running a small vibratory rock tumbler with dry media for polishing brass. It's mounted on a solid concrete block and I set it on some foam because it will shake the entire slab floor. I want to upgrade to a larger vibratory tumbler, at least an 18 pound size. I'd like a Thumlers, but the Lyman Promag autoflo is less than half the cost. But where should I run it?

My brass and primers are lead-free, and I only use dry tumbling to polish (and final dry) after cleaning with a wet tumbler, so I'm not concerned about lead dust from the dry media. So it will likely be in the garage shop space with all my other reloading equipment. I don't want to put it on the floor. I'm thinking about a basic pedestal built with a base, a piece of pipe and floor flanges.

So where do you run your tumblers? Just on the reloading bench or somewhere more clever?
 
The garage. I have a vibratory tumbler and I started doing it there because I heard it can be kind of dusty. I've never noticed any dust but I still do it there because it's kind of noisy.

I currently have three tumblers(looking to add one more) that are stored on shelves in the garage.
I have a work bench in the garage that I put them on when I need to run them.
I would run them in the reloading room but I don't like cleaning up spilled walnut or con cob media...and I always seem to spill some when I dump the media and cases into the separator.
In the garage, I just sweep it out the door on to the driveway and then into the yard.
The garage is under the house but the insulation keeps the noise at bay.
 
My inquiry is not just what room, but where the tumbler runs. Is it on your bench? On the floor? A cart? a stand? on a bucket?

The floor is kind of a pain unless you like squatting or kneeling to use it. On a bench, it can rattle everything else on or in the bench or cabinet. Do your tumblers have their own bench?

I run Cabela's vibratory tumbler (Same unit as Walkalong's Berry's 400 above with 1000 9mm case capacity) usually with 800 cases on the bench out in the backyard patio but have ran with cover on in the reloading room (bench or floor).

On the floor. I have 2 tumblers and an office type chair I just pull the lever and the chair sinks down low enough to dump into separator and deal with without getting up or squatting down.
 
Mine runs on the floor in the garage. I usually put a used dryer sheet in with the crushed walnut media and brass to cut down on the dust. And I have a solid lid so that helps.

Made a cheap homemade media separated too
 
Used to run it in the garage, now I have a “shop” at home and they run in there.
 
FA case tumbler on a piece of carpet on concrete floor. still somewhat noisey, but run it when the rest of the pack is not home
 
On the floor in the garage. Both wet and dry.

Edit; The wet or dry comment is in relation to my tumbling method, not the moisture level on the floor!

A piece of old conveyor belting or an old mud flap work well for a noise dampening pad. New mud flaps available at trailer placers are not too expensive.

When in use it sets on the left end of my bench, which is located in my garage.
It's the Hornady and it does leak a little media. It's not a big deal though. That's why it is on the end of the bench. It's easy enough to just wipe the spilled media back into it when done.
It's pretty quiet. That's why I chose this particular model. After reading reviews saying it was so quiet, I got it. It is indeed, however, I expect it to get louder with age.
 
I don't find where location is really a problem. All my stuff is in my attached garage. The picture below shows my bench a few years ago, with 2 less presses. My Lyman Tumbler is on an old 1950's metal cabinet.....the rifle is sitting on an old table of the same design.....this table is now where I have two more tumblers, another (smaller Berry's vibrator) and a Thumblers. I noticed above that Walkalong has good taste.....he has the same two vibrators that I do. ;)

All run on a timer switch at chest high, connected to an elect. outlet below it on the post behind the Lyman.

Noisy? Of course, but I tumble while I'm at work....by 5pm I'm home enjoying the fruits of the noise.....nobody heard.:)

BTW, I did have trouble with them wanting to vibrate off at first......easily fixed by the foam shelf liner from Walmart....all three sit for hours doing their thing and never move at all not even a hair. No resonating below either.....just isn't a problem for me. The old table below has two folding wings....the closest is up in the picture, but they are down while tumbling, except when I need a temporary place for something.

That dog leg bolt can't be anything but a M-600! Well, I guess it could be an XP-100 action? What caliber is it?
 
The rotary tumbler I run in the garage. The small vibratory tumbler I will usually run in my reloading shack (it has a sealed cover for dust control).
