I got lucky when we bought the last house we live in, (well maybe), the laundry room is large and has a 12' work bench with under cabinets and shelves above. It was perfect for me and my reloading.
But guess what my sideline is?

Well, I bought a stacked washer/dryer and another washer/dryer set cheap from Craigslist for shop use after pre-soaking in Simple Green. ;)

Guess what? Even though wife had brand new LG direct drive agitator-less washer/dryer set, she wanted to use extra washer/dryer set for her laundry needs (So she could do laundry in half the time ).

Glad I bought two sets. :D

We don't have basements in Texas. I reload in a storage room adjacent to my garage. I have a propane heater in there and I cut a hole in the wall for an A/C unit.

I'm curious as to why no basements. I love my basement in Utah for reloading.

I bet you are.
But!
The last time I let my wife wash my work cloths there was soap suds dripping off the roof of the house from the vent line, into the rain gutter.
Not exactly sure what she was trying to tell me there.
I wash my own clothes now and reload while I'm doing it. Way to itchy to let her do it.

I don't know why we don't have basements in Texas, but it is exceedingly rare to have a home with a basement here. I've never lived in a house with one and don't know anybody who has. I think it would be neat though.

Another Floridian with no basement. Texas, I feel your pain. So, I'm in the garage. I would love to have a bigger place where I could have an indoor room (spare bedroom) for the loading, but the garage is my Man Cave.
Yeah, it gets warm in the summers, but I insulated the door and it's mostly under the upstairs bedroom, so it's not too bad.
Mind you, in the wondrous high summer heat, I reload in the evenings and even then it gets sweaty.

Started in a spare bedroom (wife's suggestion) but then ended up getting a 12x20 prefab building and finishing it out myself. Insulated, wired, walled and floored, I keep it climate controlled.

Nice reloading shop.

I recently built a 30x30 shop complete with heat and air near the house primarily for my fabrication projects. I also do my bullet coating in there since powder coating can be part of my other projects. It is nice to be removed from the main stream activities in the house. The wife does require that I take my cell phone with me.

I re-load in a closet under the stairs, the door to it is in the garage.
With common press mounts, only one press on the bench (actually a shelf), with the others stored/single bolt mounted on another narrow shelf.

I've had to put a dead bolt lock/keyed both sides into a prior work room, and often witnessed the door knob turning while in there :uhoh:.
:D

Basement, BUT to avoid being a basement dweller, I do what I can in the presence of my wife on the first floor, i.e. priming, chamfering, neck cleaning and whatever else that may give her more time basking in my brilliance, devastatingly good looks and uniinflated ego.

I voted garage, but it is a small insulated room in my detached garage. I have my brass cleaning station and trimming stuff just outside the room on a workbench, but in the room I have my lee turret press mounted, lighted and a space heater in there. Some shelves in there for stored ammo and components, and a bunch of gun project stuff. It is really nice to turn on the heater and radio in the wintertime and just tinker on projects after the kids and wife go to bed.

My presses are on a bench I built in my basement but I also have a brass cleaning/recapping station set up in my detached workshop, nice to keep the rattle of the vibratory cleaner outside..

Commo

Subterranean, cave dweller, storm shelter, wine cellar, underground bunker, where bears go to in the winter....but generally known as the basement.

Much of what I'm seeing makes me realize I have a long way to go. You guys make me look like a piker. In my defense I've only been loading for about 12-13 years. Unfortunately we built our new house 15 years ago, so I did no advance planning. I've carved out a portion of my garage storage area next to a door I can open during good weather for light and air. It's quite a pleasant corner and roomy enough (just barely) to get my reloads done. The advantage of limited space is it requires me to be well organized; as well as prudent when accumulating more stuff. Wish I could share pictures; thanks for sharing yours,

I use about 1/4th of our finished basement. Temp and humidity controlled. My guitar room is down there too.

Apartment spare bedroom. "Bench" is a Black & Decker Workmate. It's served well for 40 years.

(They say Magritte never had a studio; he set up his easel in the living room.)

I have a 4 bedroom ranch style house.
2/3 of the basement is all mine!

1/2 of that space is my work shop, & the other 1/2 is my TV/Computer area.
Has a 40" TV, DVD player, Blue-Ray player, Computer & about 350 DVDs.
Just my relaxing area. ;)

I'm building a new home (hopefully moving in next month) and will have a small 3'x8' closet in my office set up just for reloading. It will have vertical shelving that will provide more storage than I currently have and was built to be part of a portable reloading table that will accommodate all of my equipment. All loaded ammo and powder will be stored in a separate safe room (indoor storm shelter) with 8" concrete walls and ceiling. Primers will be stored in a wooden box in the reloading "closet". I can't wait to get moved in and start reloading again. My equipment has been packed up for 2 months now.
