I was basement in PA; garage now that we’re in basement-less TX. But I just assembled a portable bench built on a B&D Workmate so I can work in my study when the garage is too hot.

I use about 1/4th of our finished basement. Temp and humidity controlled. My guitar room is down there too.

You and I are on the same page.

Old picture, but you get the idea. The silver strat and the LCT are long gone and have been upgraded. Guitars just really get stored there, the band rehearsal room is on the other side of the basement.

One half of my garage is a finished room and well insulated. A small window AC keeps it nice even on our very hot summer days and a small catalytic heater or a little electric heater does the same in the winter. My loading setup is on one corner of this room.

In my finished attic. It has a short pitched roof, but when sitting down it works great.

I call it my fortress of solitude rather than my man cave. I also clean guns up there, work on my computer, and lift weights up there.
