I recently purchased a second Chiappa Double Badger, but instead of the .22LR/.410ga shotgun, I purchased the .22WMR/.410 shotgun. A quite a few years ago I purchased a Winchester 94-22LR XTR, and liked it so well I purchased another Winchester 94-22WMR shortly after the original one. Now that's not to mention when I was in CAS I bought two 3rd Generation Colt .45's, which I still have.

I'm wondering just how many other members of this forum have purchased similar firearms, either on a whim, or just because? Moderators if this is on the wrong forum, feel free to change it.

<Raises hand>

AR’s (multiple duplicates), Ruger 10/22’s, Rem 870 and 1100 shotguns, Browning High Powers, 1911’s, Glock’s (19) etc.

3 ARs but they're different. One is a RRA NMA2 I used in competition. Another is an original Bushmaster A2, and the last is a S&W M&P15T flatop.
2 Sig P220s. One is a standard model, the other is a lightweight carry. I think its the predecessor of the Elite Carry. Stainless slide with allow frame and 1/2" shorter than the standard model. Bought it because that info was not in the advertisement. The price was excellent for a P220. Since it was a more expensive model at a ridiculous low price, I bought. I haven't weighed the two, but the carry version seems heavier than the standard.
4 Win 94s. 2 are cabines one is pre-64, the other an 80s. Those two are alike. The other two are 1971 NRA 100th anniversary models, one a rifle, the other a musket.
3 Ruger single actions, but one is a different frame as its the 22/22M Single Six. The other two are a standard gripped 7.5" 357 and a Bisley Hunter in 44M. I think these two are the same frame, just different grip and hammer.

Hi...
Absolutely...
Bought two original Vaqueros in .45Colt with the same 5-1/2" barrel.
Two BlackHawks in .357Mag with 6-1/2" barrels. Liked them so much I bought another with a 4-5/8" barrel.
Two BlackHawks in.41Mag with different barrel lengths.
Two Colt Troopers in. 357Mag with the same barrel length.
Two Super BlackHawks one a stainless Hunter model in .45Colt and another in .44Mag.

All I can think of at the moment...there are a bunch of other BlackHawks that live here in various calibers and barrel lengths as well as several Uberti Cimarrons in various finishes, calibers and barrel lengths.

I have I think 2 S&W 22a's....love those guns
I also have a Canadian Inglis "high-power" to go along with my Argy m95 "high-power)

3 ar15s - 223, 300bo and 7.62 x 39
3 ar10s - 308, 7mm-08 and a 260 rem ( in progress )

I also have a handfull of Stevens. Model 87a rifles

Oh yeh, I forgot about my AR-15's, being very similar but different, not to mention my Ruger Mini-14 and Mini-30's, as well as my Ruger 3 screws, so many variations, and just different calibers.

I have almost exact duplicates of my ICORE and IDPA revolvers for backup at matches. If you pay $100+ to shoot a match you don't want to have to drop out because of a gun failure.

Like others I have same model different configs:
4 ARs in 5.56 in different confirurations
2 10/22s - one iron sights, one red dot
2 22/45 - one iron sights, one red dot

Maybe as interesting is why I don't have a backup gun for the GSSF match. Glock has armorers at every major match who will fix your gun if it breaks and you get a do-over on the stage you failed. Why bring an extra?

Other than two 1894 Winchesters in .30-30, and two Dan Wesson M-15 frames that can interchange barrels/shrouds, I have many that are similar but no other 'identical' duplicates.

Stay safe!

I've accumulated 3 different .308 rifles over the years. Other than the same caliber they are all different.
RMR
LR-10
Weatherby Vangard

I have a matched pair of Ruger "old" Vaquero's in .45 Colt.

.40

I was organizing the armory, when the thought of "How many 77/22's does one man need?" came through my mind.

Well.... at least one more!

Two is one, and one is none.

I love the feeling that almost any gunsmithin mistake can be mitigated by just pulling out another of the same kind to use while fixing the broken one.

I like to have two of any competition firearm, for obvious logic.

I have an irrational affinity for stainless steel Ruger original Vaqueros in 44mag, so I tend to buy any of them I find. There are a handful of models with different barrel lengths and grip frames, but I have more than enough of them such I have multiples of most. I think it’s still less than 150, but I know it’s over 125.

I have a couple duplicates of stuff I enjoy. Whether it’s T shirts, exotic skin boots, firearms, you name it - I like to have a back-up for anything I know I would frequently use, such when I wear one out, I know I’ll at least have another, doubling my time with something I like before it’s gone.

Yep, I also forgot my 10-22 purchased back in 1970, with the walnut stock, and the 10-22 International purchased within the last 2 years with the Lipseys stock.

Yes, the only thing that I don't have duplicates of is my wife and one is enough. I have two 25-06's, two 270 Winchesters, two standard grade 30-06's, several featherweight 30-06's, two pair of Zeiss Safari binoculars, and several 4 wheel drive vehicles, not to mention many other things. Past experience tells me that when one goes down I may not have time to work on it immediately. With me it's not a habit it's a guarantee.

Well, none were exactly matched, but at various times I've had a pair of Dan Wesson M15 revolvers, two CZ-52s, two Ruger MkIIs, three Colt M1903s, four Astra M400s, two apiece Universal and GI M1 Carbines, 3 SKS carbines, two Soviet Nagant revolvers, two K31s and four 10/22 clones. At present I still have the K31s, Nagants, Colts, 10/22s, one Ruger MkII and two of the four Astra M400s. I own five Mauser 98s but no two are in the same configuration or chambering, likewise my three CZ527s, three Single-Sixes/Sevens and four NEF/H&R single shot rifles. Oh, and my Ruger No1 and No3 have basically the same action. Also two Glocks and three Webley revolvers in different chamberings.

Gosh, come to think on it, I guess I am a bit of a repeat customer type.

J Frames 38s are my only real duplicates

I have a few Marlin levers that aren't duplicates per say but is there really a difference between a model 1895 and a model 444 and a model 450?

Marlin 39a's tend to multiple:). Gotta have at least one for every grandchild. Ruger 10/22's and Marlin model 60's also multiple, and I may be the only person on The High Road that has only one AR.;)
Nope...
I only have one AR...my son built it for me.
Haven't felt the need to build another...one should be sufficient.

I did recall that I have two SKS rifles...shoot them rarely.

I used to have 3 10/22's and duplicates of a few others as well. I see no problem in having duplicate firearms. its strange how even though they may be identical they all seem to have their own feel and come to favor one over the other...

Never planned on owning 3 SKS's..... Number one was from 1992; a Norinco fresh out of the crate at a gun show for 100 bucks+ tax. Then in 1995 an FFL I knew bought a few crates of the Russian SKS's that were coming in back then. So #2 is a mint Russian laminated stock model that remains unfired to this day because SKS #1 got used if I felt like shooting an SKS. In early 2013 I heard the NY state legislature was cooking up trouble for gun owners which soon became the SAFE ACT.... Was at a gun show and purchased another MilSurp Chinese SKS because I feared that soon any type of semi-auto centerfire would soon be banned. Turns out the SKS did not get banned. SKS #3 is now my regular "beater" gun that gets to the range 3 or 4 times a year. The other two are safe queens. Now that I'm retired I may sell the Russian and just go down to two, which will probably outlast me because they hold up so well. Gotta free up some room in the safes. Funny how guns seem to accumulate...................#1 - IMG_5520.JPG #2-- IMG_4946.JPG #3 -- IMG_1719.JPG

Multiple ARs, just because and different configurations
3 Star BMs, 1st was $200 and liked it so much, when J&G put them on sale I had to get 2 more
A few Win 92s, from my dad’s collection and different configurations and calibers
And 2 Lugers, 1st was my dad’s. A mint condition 1939, numbers matching (mag too), S/42. He (and I) always wanted to shoot it, but we knew better. So a few years ago, well after he passed, I bought a double date (1917 and 1920) DWM for a shooter.
