Sold 8-10 that were duplicates or ones I wasn’t shooting any more. Now what does any Revolver Nut do after he sells? He buys more!! So happens a LGS owner that I do a lot of buying and selling with picked up some nice pieces that he let me take home. These nice little snubs were in the group I adopted. From top to bottom.
Model 10-8 with 3” Barrel. Not a snubbie but I can’t resist 3” K Frames.
Model 19-4
Model 66-1
Model 19-4 Nickel
Model 64-3
So much for thinning the herd.

Oh I do it all the time! I actually think I enjoy finding guns as much if not more than owning them. I love to hit Pawn and Gun Shops just to see what I can find. Sometimes I go for a month or two and find nothing but keep looking. I've been on a roll the last 6 months or so. Seems everywhere I go, there is a nice Smith begging me to take home.

Geez, Eddie, where the heck do you live? I never see that many snubby Smiths at one time in any gun shop in the entire greater Puget Sound area.

Oh, and you wanna sell the 66?

Veeery nice! I love the hunt as well; and tho I’ve never had buyers remorse, those I’ve traded or sold have often over time lead me to ‘dang it I had one just like that once’ remorse!

Wow! I would have to spend a couple years looking to come up with 5 great S&W revolvers like those.

Instead of thinning the herd, it looks to me like you brought in some blue-ribbon studs and improved the bloodlines!

That is one set of nice revolvers, I’m not only happy for you I’m a tad bit jealous as well ;).

Let us know how they shoot!

Stay safe.

Anyone here could say the same thing. It seems like that everywhere. One week however, my favorite gun pusher landed an estate of a guy who had quite a few revolvers. Rugers, Colts, and Smiths. I happened to stop in right after the widow left.

I don’t do Colts generally. I only buy Rugers when there aren’t a dozen nice Smiths in the same case so I ended up buying 4 of them. Perfect in box Model 10 snub, no box model 12 snub, Model 66 snub, and a run of the mill but pre lock model 640 .357. All 4 for under 1000.

Eddie

Nice additions to the herd! Need one more to complete the 6 pack of snubbies!

Nope, the Model 10 has standard hammer and trigger. Must just be the way the picture turned out.

You have exquisite taste in revolvers. We should all have an LGS like yours.

I have been pretty lucky lately and most of the luck is because a dealer friend of mine buys a lot of large collections. That is absolutely the best way to get nice guns. Usually a collection will have the nicest and most desirable guns. He can afford to buy a 100 plus gun collection and he knows what I like and will pull out stuff for me before he puts in on the shelf. I am truly grateful for this friendship. Sometimes I get real deals and at times, I have to pay top dollar, but I figure it all works out. Prices aren't generally negotiated. Normally I get a little better deal than he would retail in the shop, but once he puts a price on something, its buy it or leave it sitting. But as FISwamp Rat said, you never know whats going to come in next. This week it so happened to be snubs. He might not get another Smith for a month or might get 10 nice ones tomorrow. He doesn't really specialize in anything particular. He is so knowledgeable, he will buy anything from Smiths and Colts to Double Shotguns to high end rifles to high end air guns. He will also buy low end stuff like Taurus etc. He has a huge retail business and has a big following. I just happen to be one of his Smith Followers.
