Besides the leaked video from Brazil...I'm surprised that there has not been more chatter regarding this. Why is there not a detailed review in English?

Hard to believe that there is not one G22 or G23 gen 5 for review in USA.

No one here has one Gen 5 copy???

Heard the gen 5 was only for 9mm's. Something about the locking lock pins not being able to handle the pressure of the 40. I guess they redesigned it enough where pressure was a issue. i will try to find the article.
 
There's Glock 22 gen 5 trials in Brazil. Leaked videos are on the web.. but their in Spanish.
I'm surprised with all the Glock fans in the USA that there not one Glock 22 gen 5 specimen in the U.S. for someone to do a YouTube review.

I thought the whole point of the gen 3 3 pin Glocks was to strengthen the pistols for use with .40.

So... how is reverting to a 2 pin system going to work? Also what advantage if any does reverting to the 2 pin system provide the platform? They must have done it for a reason.

IIRC its not pin # but the gen5 block and reworked inner that will allow the .40

I had planned a new G19 purchase when I saw that “rumor”, because I want a G23 without finger grooves to match my gen2 I’m waiting.
 
I'm also curious about the inner workings of the .40 gen 5.

But no one here has a brother who is a friend of friend of a friend ..that is a cousin to a a person in Brazil that is willing to ship over a copy of a .40 gen 5? Isn't there the concept of five degrees of separation between people around the world?

Ok... I kid...I kid...
 
I'm curious about possible changes in the barrel. I know that there was improved chamber support by Gen 3 model. I wonder if they will make further changes in this area

You could just go to Glock talk and search for gen5 .40S&W ;)

...and the whole point of the Gen 4 Glocks was to fix the problems with .40 S&W Gen 3 G22/G23 guns.

Perhaps they found an end around their previous solutions for the .40 S&W guns.
 
Oh my... Now I feel silly. I have been to the Glock talk site.. reading many times the thread on G22 gen 5... But I completely missed the video on it!!!!! I thought the video was simply a commercial advertisement. Completely missed the video content..

I'm going to blame it on my old aging eyes.
