Having trouble with my Hornady Case Feeder

So I continually have a problem where the case will get stuck somehow under the case feeder plate. It doesn't necessarily happen at the mouth/drop, but that tends to be one spot where it tends to happen to most. But I've had it happen else where sometimes before the mouth/drop and sometimes after. I've adjusted the metal "gate" as appropriate for the cases, but that doesn't seem to help. Anyone have any idea if there is something I can adjust on the feed plate, or somewhere on the case feeder itself to keep the damn plate down and prevent cases from getting under it

What caliber are you loading and what collator plate are you using? That has never happened with my Hornady case feeder so you really have me intrigued.
I use mostly 9mm and the small pistol collator plate.
You may want to call Hornady with that one. The only thing that happens to mine is a case getting stuck in the window once in a while. I have the large pistol plate but rarely use it.
There is a pin under the plate, it isn't off center is it? Meaning it's sticking out further on one side than the other? That would make the plate ride high on one side.

I've worked with this problem before. I modified the case feeder basket to help alleviate the problem.

First, to keep debris from building up in the case feeder I drilled a 1/4" "weep" hole at the lowest point.

Second, I added a metal finger attached with a bolt at a strategic point to prevent cases from getting between the plate and the basket. Similar in design to the one in this video.

I'll give the weep hole idea a shot since it can't hurt. But I actually have that mod you talked about, it seems to have helped, but I still get cases stuck

The only time I've had that happen is when I switched over to loading 9mm and forgot to switch over the collator plate from Large Pistol (I was loading .38Spl) to Small Pistol...it might be worth double checking that you have the correct plate in place

I had to keep playing with it. I finally got it to work reliably through trial and error. My design has a small piece of metal. Shaped kind of like an arrow head with a slight bend toward the center. The adjustment is a bit tricky and takes a while to get it just right. Keep after it.
