Thanks for the input in this thread

Anyways I put a deposit on a second carry gun today. I went with a kahr PM9. My LGS had two used ones. One for $350 with night sights, no box or extra mags. One with standard sights, box, papers and an extra mag for $349.

I went with the one with the standard sights and all the goodies. After examing them I noticed when I would pull the trigger on the one with night sights the slide would rock side to side/jump. The standard sight model had no movement in the slide when trigger pulled. Not to mention the fella at my LGS has shot this particular PM9 before as it was a trade in from a buddy of his.

So for $349 plus tax ,I don't think I did too bad for a PM9.

Bones, 2nd carry gun as in you'll carry two simultaneously, or as a backup?
2nd as in I only had one handgun I could Conceal carry with before. Now I'll have two. Most likely not at the same time. However, this little guy in a pocket would make a dandy BUG.

My reason for buying another carry gun is because a week or two ago I had the front sight pin of my S&W model 60 disappear. So I was without a carry gun for a few days until I got a roll pin for my sight. I REALLY did not like that situation. So I decided it was best I have two guns I can CCW. All my other handguns are too big. 2 Blackhawks one 4 5/8" 45colt,one 5.5" 44 special, a 7.5"Redhawk 44 mag , a 6.5" single six and a 6" gp100. So a little 9mm gives me more options and allows me to dress differently if I wish too . One thing that will be nice is I can put a set of night sights on it. Cant find a decent set for my model 60, not much around for a 3" adjustable sight model.

Got it, and good plan. The P365 has replaced my P938. Now the P938 is on CC stand-by.

You made a very nice buy! Sounds like you took a similar route as I did with my CCWs. I have two S&W J frames, a Model 649 and a Model 638. Wanted something in a really small 9mm. but with a DA trigger much like on my snubbies. Found it in a Kahr CM9. Great size, weight, and ergonomics.

Realized today I never did a report on my new gun. Did a range trip with my father and brother on father's day. I put 200 rounds of federal 115g fmjs and one box of 135gr federal hst through it. Not a single hiccup. Very pleased on how this little gun shoots! Its alot less snappy than I thought it would be, shoots like a bigger gun than it really is. I absolutely love the trigger. 6lbs and smooooth.

Today It got a set of truglo trituim pro sights, seem like they are going to be fantastic. Here's some pics ,holster is a muddy river tactical brand.

Did either gun have a magazine / snap cap in it?

My CM9 jumps a little when I dry fire it empty with no magazine, but that doesn't happen with a magazine and snap cap in it:

Like the Truglo sights on your PM9! I also found the recoil with the CM9 to be quite easy to deal with, much more so than a CW40 I previously had.

Not 20 minutes ago I talked up the 938 in the Sig vs Glock thread! I've always been very keen on that little gun. It's classier than my Shield but couldn't replace it. It could be a backup, but I wouldn't like carrying magazines from two different guns on me in a high pressure situation. I'd rather carry a snubby as backup or a duplicate of the same semi-auto. Maybe TWO 938's!
