This is a Talo edition and the grips came with the pistol. I believe that they are made by Altamont Grips. Check their site and you should find these or similar grips available.

I'm normally a Ruger guy, but I think the S&W Victory is a better gun compared to a Ruger Mark 3 and Mark 4. The Mark 4's have had issues and Idk if they're been resolved, but the Victory I've not heard one complaint about them. For under $350, the Victory is a damn bargain.

I picked up a Ruger Mk. 1 6-7/8" Target about 20 years ago.
I never regretted it or felt that I needed something newer.
This means that I have no experience with any of the other target .22s mentioned above.

The one complaint I've heard about the Victory is that the trigger pull is heavy and can't be tweaked much or replaced with aftermarket. It's not an issue for a plinking gun, but I know two people who started in our bullseye league with a Victory and ended up switching to a MK IV.

After 50 plus years of shooting various pistols, revolvers and long guns, I have never owned a .22 pistol of any kind. Don't ask me why, I don't know, but I just today traded for a Ruger Mark I. It's a 5.5" bull barrel, looks to be in good shape, about 75% on condition because of some holster wear. I can barely hit the side of a large barn with it, but no malfunctions so far. Of course being almost 76 might have something to do with me shaking, but I will get better.

I had a MK1 6 7/8 and a 5 1/2"
Had a couple 22/45 Great 8.
I'll have to mix and match to get the Ruger I want.
Hate loaded chamber indicator.
Want push button mag release
Warning label on bottom of bbl (less annoying).
Like the 6 7/8" taper target the best.
There is a MK 2 at my LGS.
Consignment, bluing gone off back of frame.
Too much $ IMHO.
If I get another .22 pistol, might just be a Hammerli Xesse

Recently I shot a Bullseye Pistol match next to the Team Armorer of a Military Pistol Team. He was shooting a M41. I asked how long he had been shooting it, I recall he said 28 years. Then I asked how many rounds he had put through it, and he looked in his data book (!) and said 9800. The round count was not as high as I thought, but he spends most of his time fixing everyone else's guns and seldom gets to shoot. Still, he never had a part break. I can't remember if he said anything about parts breaking on the guns of his Team. Springs need to be replaced, they take a set in all guns.
When you boil it all down, it's pretty much like that for me.
In my case, I don't think I've ever 'shot it before bought it', but also cannot remember the last time I bought a pistol (or any other firearm) w/o a good couple fondles first,,,
I've found that you can read all about 'em, be pretty much convinced you favor one over the other. OK, so then you to the gun show and fondle 'em both then have a change of heart,,,,
I own what I own (BMark Camper) as it's got a great 'all-around' reputation, PLUS, the URX hand grip fits me like 'the proverbial glove'
I haven't counted out a Ruger Mark4, but if the purchase is similar to the 3, it just doesn't fit my hand anything at all like the BMark. =(

SR-22 - More of a ~fun~ (and small) semi,,, Used as such.
Heritage Roughrider - Only single action I own. Didn't pay much, don't expect much, but would not hesitate to recommend one for someone seeing a value orientated (and so far, dependable) SA. It's my 'fun' revolver,,
GP-100 10 shot revolver. It's my 'you need to pretend like your being serious' 22 revolver. Mild trigger job, some springs/shims. Still fun, but in a different way.

I have a P-22 and it is the least accurate .22 handgun I own. Most accurate is a Mark II target model, 6 7/8 tapered barrel, trigger spring kit, Ruger target grips: second most accurate is Single Six 4 5/8 with hammer and trigger spring kit: third most accurate is a TPH. The P 22 looks cool but that's where it begins and ends. Was it not a gift, it would be gone.

check the front sight screw. mine kept coming loose until it got a dose of blue loctite.
the grip screws received the same treatment.

+1 on the GSG. Mine was good out of the box and it took to modification pretty well.
I'm also a fan of 22 revolvers. While a little pricey at first the will last a couple or 3 lifetimes.

hey rws_53, an exceedingly nice collection of 22s, that verges on being labeled as gun porn on a family friendly website (haha), but i gotta ask, why no ruger single six? also would love to read your random thoughts on them, especially 3.5” vs 4.5” ruger sr22, beretta neos and jennings j22. thanks.

Local Steel Challenge shooters are moving away from Ruger and buying Buckmarks due to the reliability. I just completed a match with my Buckmark and had zero malfunctions, this is the norm
