This past week I finished my taxidermy work on the deer I took during the 2018 season. Since I do the work myself I am more interested in quality than doing a commercial deer mount.

The first deer is a large mature whitetail that I took during the muzzleloading rifle season herein Oklahoma. It was a basic 5 X 5 rack with 4 extra stickers for a total of 14 points. This was a really large buck and the pictures do not do it justice. The deer was taken with a White Super 91 50 caliber rifle.

The second deer was a mule deer that I took during the Oklahoma rifle season. I would have liked it if the deer had been older but the mule deer move around so much in my hunting area that it is hard to find a big mature buck. The deer was taken with a Winchester 70 30-06 rifle. IMG_4100.JPG IMG_4098.JPG IMG_4106.JPG IMG_4103.JPG
