I've shot my Keltec p32 for maybe less than 100 rds. No failures I can recall, haven't shot it for maybe 15 years (I'll dig it out and give it a whirl). But I'm thinking of getting another. My current pistol is a white grip with a 10 rd extended mag and a blued slide.

I don't mind the white frame, that's the least of my worries. I want the most sweat-resistant pistol. There are two to my liking. One is the tan - tan:

and the Parkerized:

Difference in price is not a factor. <joke>Neither is the fact that the brown one only shoots left</joke>

Which do you figure would be more corrosion resistant ?

I might even get two if the corrosion inhibitions worth it and the pistols are reliable.
So, does anyone have at least 500 rounds through one of these babies ? Any FTF's or FTE's ?

Hard boundaries = 14 oz unloaded, less than or equal to 4" high, 4.5 " length and 0.9 " width. Significantly smaller than a p365 which I will also likely get (someday). must have at least 7+1 in .380 to 99+1 in .32 acp.

What is better at near this size/weight: Berreta, Pico, Kahr, Diamondback, others

because if we're gonna go larger, we're going straight to the p365.

At the upper end we have:
CM9, Kryptek Camo 14 oz, 8 rd extended mags available

I'm really liking this Kahr. It's definitely smaller than a p365 and would be better in my pocket. I hear the trigger is good. A buddy of mine had FTFs with a cheaper model, how is the reliability with this model ?

And the DiamondBack DB9 at 12.;8 OZ w/ 12 rd extended magazines available

S&W i frame hand ejector in 32 long.

But to answer the actual question posed, either of the keltecs listed. I would buy the brown but I actually prefer the white because you have a chance of finding it if it jumps out of your pocket while squirrel hunting... true story, never found it, was a p11... Another option that could compete with the beretta tomcat is the NAA guardian pistol. It’s actually one that is on my ridiculous list of wants that I can’t explain. But I would buy 32NAA... .380 case necked to 32 caliber.

No love for the ppk?

The Kahr and Beretta Pico are awesome, and unless I'm mistaken, the only ones on the list that can handle hot SD ammo.

ppk is too big. I already have an NAA Guardian. I'm looking for significantly smaller / lighter than p365.

I would be using Gold Dot standard pressure 115 gr in 9mm. Not sure in .380, maybe some fancy Underwood screwdriver ammo, prolly the same in .32 acp.

The DB9 may not be a mouse gun but it is a pocket gun... depending on the pants you are wearing. I love my DB9! But I also love my P32, LCP and CM9. The P32 is the perfect gun for when you don't feel like carrying a gun... it just feels like it isn't there. The DB9 is a great gun for when you want a bit of umph while wearing summer clothes... without having to dress around your gun.

The Kahr CM9 is one of my favorite sub compact sized guns... but it isn't a pocket gun... for me at least. All of the guns above have been 100% reliable for me... with the exceptions of the CZ45 (in .25 acp, it is picky about ammo) and the Remington R51.

If Ibought another pocket 380... it would be a Seecamp.

I like my P32 a lot, but I doubt I'd buy a second one before trying something else (in fact, I did try something else, a Taurus TCP, which also works well.)

If I knew what I do already, but didn't have the P32 yet, that's what I'd go for. I like the desert tan version. Mine is a matte-black slide model with the gray frame, and I have yet to have any rust issues. I've had it since 2011. I do also have the ten-round magazine.

You ask about failures. Admittedly, I probably only have maybe three hundred rounds through mine to date. The first time I took it out, I was using WWB 73-grain truncated-nose FMJ ammunition (a FMJ with a flat tip.) I experienced my first-ever case of rimlock during the third mag-full, before I even knew what rimlock is. I learned then; the KT seems to be more prone to it than many other guns when using ammunition with a shorter overall length than typical FMJ stuff. I tried installing a KT rimlock guard in one of my magazines (doing so allows for short, JHP ammo, but prevents FMJ-RN from fitting) but that magazine wasn't reliable after that, so I returned it to normal configuration. I now use only FMJ-RN ammunition made in Europe (their ammo seems a bit hotter and more reliable) in my P32.

frankly i'd be cool with anything on that list EXCEPT the DB9, of all the brands I ever handled/sold during my time behind the counter, Diamondbacks were "the least likely to result in a satisfied customer".

Since I carry a Ruger LCP, that would get my vote. Second place would be a P32 with standard capacity magazine.

Dad kept a 32 Tomcat (a gift from my wife and me) tucked away somewhere on board his wheelchair until the day he passed. But that was Dad - he had a pair of water-pump pliers and a screwdriver on board too. He always liked having tools handy just in case something needed fixing. Like the 32 Tomcat, a pair of water-pump pliers or a screwdriver might not have been the "perfect" tool for the job at hand, but Dad got by with what he had his whole life - even after diabetes and a heart condition confined him to a wheelchair. :)

I really do not agree with the Poll. Mouse guns are not Pocket guns. Small 9mm's are Micro 9mm's. That said, do not know why only the select pistols are made to choose from. So many differences in all of them. The Pico while a fantastic Pocket gun is a far cry from the fantastic CM9. Just not in the same class. And the CW 380 should have been put into the poll.

Those were the ones I was thinking of getting (Picking up the p32 this afternoon), but I'll add your suggestions to the poll now.

The Sig 238 seems conspicuously absent. The Taurus 738 TCP (since supplanted by the Spectrum) is not bad either. Not sure why the Kahr C380 and not the P380. Just curious.

Here are two of my selections in the Mouse Gun category: a KelTec P3AT and a Kahr CM9. While the P3AT is a true pocket pistol the CM9 can also be carried that way as well, though more often than not I use a DeSantis IWB SOF-TUCK holster with it.

I was thinking of the P3-AT.

I'm now carrying a p229 and I like it fine. But I have situations where I can't wear it. These involve just wearing sweats or shorts without a belt, office environments where I cannot be seen to have a weapon, etc.

I grabbed the p32 as I knew that if I could carry anything I definitely could carry that. It's also cerakoted and I have a problem with sweat.

This leaves a gap between the p229 and the p32 which I will definitely fill. I've had my eye on a p365 but now they're confusing me with the p365XL.

Knowing myself (more guns = betterer) Likely I'll get the p365XL at some point and also a small 380 to fit in the gap between it and the p32.

and, before anyone mentions it, 'betterer' was coined in another post, so it's official :)

I'm not a fan of guns with safeties or internal locks. Does Taurus still have the locks ?

If I found a gun that would otherwise be perfect but had a lock or safety I would consider it. For me, that would mean a good capacity, small size and above all superior moisture resistance. If Sig brought out any small pistols with the internal phosphate coating that the m11A1 or MK 25 have I'd be all over it.

Adding the P380.
