Fitz Special

In a recent article in The American Rifleman they alluded to the fact that all "Fitz Specials" were only those authenticated to have been made up under the auspices of Fitz himself.

Not trying to start a brouhaha, just an observation.

You sir are a brave soul. Prepare to be inundated with "expert" opinions.

The thing that stood out to me was Fitz's advocacy of his mods being done to Colt New Services... a gigantic revolver that's so big I find it to be a handful, literally (and I take an XL glove). But Fitz wanted to outfit the Hong Kong police (or Singapore's, I don't remember just now) with them. Makes no sense at all to me.

This Colt has no Fitz modification. But a Colt .45 1917/New Service makes for a fat chunky snub nose revolver.
