Look back since the 2016 election

So there really are no pro gun politicians, just campaigns to get elected.
I get what you are saying, and there is a lot of truth to it, but there actually are some real live pro gun politicians.

There are also quite a number of died in the wool seriously anti gun politicians who actively are trying to take away all of our guns every chance they get.

We are actually worse off now, under Trump, than we were at the end of the Obama administration.

I can understand why Democrats consider two Supreme Court and 100 Federal Judges appointments along with flipping the 3rd Court of Appeals with Conservative Judges is making the things worse now than under Barry. President Trump has made the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals more Conservative with five appointments and is very close to having a majority of more Conservative Judges.

Bottom line is your party is losing control of the Supreme and Federal Courts.

The Obama led antis are the ones that went full bore trying to take ARs away. Just because they failed doesn't change that.
Obama: Lots of antigun rhetoric but no actual antigun accomplishments.
Trump: Lots of pro-gun rhetoric but no pro-gun accomplishments. In fact whatever he did actually do was antigun (bump stock ban, encouraging "red flag" laws, etc.). Vaunted Supreme Court appointments have yet to produce any pro-gun rulings.

In deep red states there are some ( your state) but the republican brand no longer guarantees that. Rick Scott (R) FL. is a prime example in a state that's turning purple. They just calculate the political mileage of AG legislation and if it looks good they support it. They're chameleons.

Just because courts are generally more conservative doesn't necessarily mean that they are more pro-gun. What Trump has done, basically, is farm the judicial selection process out to the Federalist Society. Trump himself is not a principled conservative. He can best be described as a "right-wing populist." His stock in trade is appealing to the baser instincts of people. He will easily sell out gun owners if he thinks he can make points elsewhere. (Bump stocks being a perfect example.)

I keep saying this but nobody listens.:D It isn't what you say you will do, or what you want to do, but what you actually do. I see many tweets coming from the WH but that's about all I see....tweets.

The left is becoming more insane by the day. Biden is getting thrown under the bus as the what seems to be the more moderate dem, but even he is not even remotely thoughtful towards our cause.

All politicians are just trying to get re elected, but the Republican party while not always aggressively pro 2A, is normally not gnashing at the teeth about coming for your guns.

At this point that is all we can hope for. Voting Democrat is a anti 2A vote no two ways about it.
