Colt new Agent

I owned one. It was reliable and comfortable to conceal but I wasn't accurate with it past bad breadth range. I had a shotgun bead installed in the trench that helped a little. I sold it.

South Prairie Jim

I had a Colt New Agent with the XS sights on it. I found the gun to be very well made and the sights were fairly quick to pick up once you got use to them. Eventually though I got a Kahr CM9 which was a great deal smaller and lighter than the New Agent so I ended up selling it and have the CM9 as my EDC.

They kinda remind me of a 3in Barrel Citadel I used to own although it was a real hammer at 20 yards, a total pita to field strip and most interchangeable parts didn’t interchange due to poor layout of frames ( handfitting constantly) traded it in on a Ruger Blackhawk 41 magnum 61/2 barrel.
Should have kept that 41 miss it now for sure with all the bear hanging around the cabin.
Live and learn I suppose

I have owned two stainless steel Officer's Model, one New Agent with XS sights, and one Defender.

I have sold all of them. My carry 1911 is a LW Commander size. If you want a shorter grip you can get that with a Commander top. If you want the shorter slide you can get that with the Commander bottom.

With 40 years of 1911 ownership and shooting I found I much prefer the Commander size pistols for concealed carry. They are more accurate, hit a bit harder, and are easier to shoot, at least for me.

I have one and love it! 100% reliable, more accurate than one could expect. EASY to carry! I did have a very small shotgun bead installed in the trench at the nose-NOT for a sight but as an 'eye catcher' to speed up things a bit. Unique little 1911 and if you learn its quirks, a fine carry gun.

I have one in 9mm. Several hundred flawless rounds. I'm accurate enough at 10 yards. Gutter sight works once you get use to it. I'm keeping it.

I have one in my carry rotation, It’s very accurate at self defense distances at 10 yds or less I shoot it just as quick as my full size 1911 and the accuracy is the same(when going for speed)
It’s almost as small as my XDs and carries two more rounds- I like the trench sights it opens up some additional improvised carry possibilities

I have a blue lightweight marked one (right side),got it cheap from the original owner, probably had less than 500 round thru it. The gutter/trench sight was not popular. Its fine for a close range 15 yards and less(IMHO) gun, you can hit with it much further but you have to work harder for it. Its more accurate than my vintage late 1980s Colt LWOM and I think Colt learned from the OM on what design features to incorporate.
