Will model 10 grips fit my 1918 Hand Ejector,
Model 1905? Want to save the wear on the orig grips when at the range. Also, are all or up to a certain year, side plate screws interchangeable, or at least do the screws share the same thread size? Thx

Your Model 1905, 4th change, is a K-frame. Any Model 10 grips will fit (or any other K-frame grips). Just make sure you obtain square butt or round butt grips, whichever one yours is (most likely square butt). Your 1905 is a 5-screw gun, with 4 in the side plate and one in front of the trigger guard. The top side plate screw was eliminated in 1955. The trigger guard screw was eliminated with the introduction of the Model 10-4 (tapered barrel) and 10-6 (heavy barrel). Side plate screws should be the same from any M&P revolver from around 1910 through 1954. The bottom rear and front side plate screws "will" interchange, but they won't "work". The front side plate screw must always be placed in the front side plate hole. Obviously, the top side plate screw has a larger head to hold the side plate in place.

Gotcha, thanks! I was hoping to snag a parts lot for an early 1905 on da’ Bay, to have xtra parts for the next one I gather up, but have not gotten all my screws. Off to Brownells or Numrich is next . I know the top and bottom plate screws are just a tad diff in length and should b place in their respective holes. Mine is not the best looking, but that 100yr old trigger is smooth and easy. Just need the right ejector and screws now. I’m mocked up using a later cylinder that was advertised as a 1905, but the ears (star) on the ejector it came with are too long by a tad, for my numbers matching original cylinder. Any idea of the year when the ejector changed? I’d rather have the proper one than file down each ear or whatever to fit the cylinder it was born with.

Edit: found a parts lot with plate screws and will try and match them at the gun screw display at the local Ace. Surprisingly I have had prior luck there. Will post any screw sizes and parts #s as I find that info.

Yes model 10 grips, at least early ones I bought, fit perfectly! Thanks all
