Hello, new member, old lurker here. I'm hoping to get some help/advice about a safe that I may purchase. A local safe dealer has a used safe for sale that he says is a Wilson TL-30 safe. The tags on the front appear to be newer that the rest of the safe. Almost like they have been recently placed there. However, the inside tags appear old and read TL-30, but half of the tag is ripped off. Plus this is the first TL-30 tag that I have seen that is not a riveted on metal plate. It is just a sticker. He says the electronic lock was added later and is only a dummy lock. My google search has not found a Wilson safe that looks like this. The handle made of C-Channel makes me think it might be an International Fortress Safe. I see a lot of them with that same handle on the internet. What do you all think? Thanks. hQSpckg.jpg

I contacted Wilson safe with pictures and serial number and it is indeed manufactured by them. They also said that it can nnot be sold because it belongs to them and they have been looking for it. They are going to pick it up. I'm glad I researched before buying.

Yeah, the guy that had it for sale was a used safe dealer/mover. A lady at a diamond shop lost her lease and paid him to move the safe off the property. These things are so heavy that you have to get a professional safe mover to move them. Since they charge so much to move them, I think people often just give them to the mover as payment for getting them off the property. Or get very little money for them. Since then he has had it for over a year, trying to sell it. Now that he can't sell it, he is trying to bill the lady for storage for the past year.
