Has the Democrat's narrative changed since 2016? Has Trump fulfilled his campaign promises to his voters? How has the push from the socialist left changed the Democrat party?

The timing means that it's exactly the opposite -- at this stage, she's trying to appeal to the anti crowd, while leaving herself room to pivot to a more moderate stance later.

You are absolutely correct that she is calculating and conniving. That might not be a bad thing in a politician. I give you the example of Joe Biden as someone who is not calculating and conniving. That's why we call him a "gaffe machine."

Disagree. Let's look at only the alcohol-related vehicular deaths in "accidents." DUI/DWI "accidents" claim more fatalities on a daily, weekly, monthly, yearly basis than firearms-related deaths.

Where's the national call to ban alcoholic beverages?

Additionally, the liberal statistics-gatherers factor in all firearms-related deaths, accidental/negligent shootings, suicides, law enforcements shootings, etc. to pad their numbers.

There's a concept called "creative ambiguity." She exemplifies it. (Sometimes this isn't a bad thing.)

The problem is that if too many people realize what she is doing, she won't get the nomination.

I think it's too late for Kamala Harris.

And her promise of taking executive action within first 100 days against gun-rights/2A didn't help either.

And she is wishy washy on other issues

If nothing changes:

1. Next month Congress will take up multiple bills and amendments for an AWB, UBC, RFL grants to states

2. RFL grants will pass, AWBs will not and the UBC is up in the air (write your congress people)

3. This sets up an AWB for an election issue and the Dems will go all in on out-AWB-ing each other during the debates. While Trump will run against one.

Act and write our elected officials !!!

That may actually help as growing number of people/voters are being educated (Internet, Google, Youtube, social media, etc.) that full-auto firearm is already banned/restricted in many states.

What the antis want to do is ban "legal semi-auto rifles" now and still using the terms "assault weapon" and "assault rifle" which are propaganda terms.

The "assault weapons ban" already happened and didn't work to stop crime.

Why aren't we getting out in front of this and proposing the registration of illegal machine guns? After all, what right-thinking person could be against that?

Gee, I was THERE off and on after Katrina. Do you know what due process is? All it means is that you get your day in court, and it doesn't happen before seizure in an emergency. Now, what happened in Katrina was as wrong as it gets, but isn't relevant to what we're talking about.

Nope! I just don’t think you can trust any of them and would be naive to do so. Doesn’t really matter to me. BORs are supposed to be naturally existing rights that no government can take away....I’ll do what I can but at the end of the day, I follow the Constitution. Any laws to the contrary arent laws.

Keep in mind that due to various federal district/circuit courts and the SCOTUS justice appointments the next POTUS will make, who wins 2020 election could have profound effect on federal courts/SCOTUS rulings for decades, possibliy for generations.

Vote wisely in 2020 for gun rights/2A.

Since you brought it up, I'll respond.

There is no chance I'll re-join the NRA until the following things happen:

  • Wayne LaPierre is gone.
  • Ted Nugent is gone.
  • There is a way for instructors to influence the curriculum of NRA classes.

My list has grown from two to three, since LaPierre is afraid for his personal safety, and wants the NRA to buy him a 6M house in a gated community.

If those three things happened, I'd probably re-join. Even then, I'd have serious questions about the election procedures that are protecting LaPierre and his little gang of misfits, the organization is nowhere near anything resembling democratic.

Joining the NRA is not the end-all answer it was once. The NRA is not the powerhouse organization it was once. The NRA has suffered severe defeats right here in my home state. It has been driven to ruin, and unless it reverses course, it will need to be replaced.

So. That's my response to being asked for money for the NRA or being asked to join the NRA. I hope it doesn't antagonize anyone, that is not my purpose. Rather, these are merely my reasons. If you don't want to hear why I won't re-join the NRA, don't ask me to join, and don't ask me to donate to the NRA.

Because, as you see, I have my reasons why I'm not going to do either of those things.

Fine, your choice BUT do support another pro-gun/2A organization.

Our ultimate common enemy is the antis.

BTW, we are not a democracy where the will of the majority can be imposed on the rights of the minority. We are a constitutional republic where the will of the majority cannot be imposed on the rights of the minority.

O'Rourke is a non entity barely above water and struggling for air. He will disappear quite quickly. As will the sad Mayor of NYC.

They will have no effect on any gun legislation.
