How would you sell 8000 bullets ??

Would be a shame to waste bullets but lead recycling would be a last resort. Scrap lead prices from 30-45 cents per pound.

If I were within a couple hours drive I would make the trip if the price was right. I'm not afraid of a road trip, gets me out of the house, stop for lunch maybe plan a couple other stops along the way. I've done it before! Not so long ago I made a 3 hour round trip to go buy a pistol I found on Armslist. Was a great day.

I've been known to do the same thing. Two years ago me and a buddy drove 400 miles to buy some lead. It was mostly for him but I kept some and a couple of other buddies got a little of it. I ended up buying 2 H&G bullet molds, a Star Sizer, a bucket of solder, some brass and 2900 pounds of wheel weights. We drove down, got a room, visited a nice Brewery, had a nice meal and met the guy the next day. The 2nd time we made the trip our Wives wanted to go with us. We bought about that much lead again, some more brass, did the Brewery and meal thing again and had a great 2 day trip.

We got the wheel weights for 40 cents/lb, the ingots for 70 cents/lb, paid a little less than the going rate for the other stuff and met a super nice guy. Oh yeah, the weights were sorted! I sorted through them again and managed to pick out about 5# of zinc that he missed.

So yeah, I'm up for a road trip.

but the PO is 8 miles away and a nasty drive.
What would you do ? My pal can't work and really needs the funds.

You only have to make one trip to pick up the flat rate boxes. Go to usps.com and print the shipping label and tell the PO to pick up off your porch. No extra charge for them to pick up. And if the well-paid carrier bitches, suggest he find a different line of work.

My first order from MBC came in two flat rate boxes. I wasn't home, but my ex was. The carrier, a pot bellied white guy, had carried one box and sat it down on the porch. Said he had back problems and it was all he could do to get one box. She went out and carried the other box in. When she went to retrieve the box off the porch she learned that she had been scammed. The box she carried was 65 lbs. The one the carrier bitched about weighed 20 lbs. Good thing she was a big, German, farm girl. But she also had a temper, which I had to deal with that evening. Knowing what I do know I should have filed a complaint against the carrier. He was a sub, but I never saw him again.

A very sick friend of mine asked me to clean out his rental storage area....

What would you do ?

If he was a friend of mine I would load it all up, call all my SOT/FFL guys with the “fun stuff” and have him shoot as much as he could.
