Greetings from Pensacola. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with 7.62x25 tok jhp?.I have a Romanian TT33C & am curious about feeding it something besides the FMJ rounds that could probably qualify as anti-tank rounds...at least by 1933 standards.I would appreciate any input.
Thanks!

I have fired a decent amount of Prvi Partizan JHP Tokarev ammo in my various TTs. Seemed reliable and fairly accurate to me. I have no info on terminal effect.

Welcome to THR, Joseph Saunders! :)

For a "thrifty" Reloader's alternative ...

Years ago I was able to take advantage of a good(!) price on commercial FMJ S&B 7,62x25 and bought a supply.

I created HD/SD rounds by replacing the original 85gr FMJ bullet with a Hornady 86gr JSP.

In my Romy tetejka carry piece they are as accurate as the original S&B loading, expand nicely and feed well ... and I do not have to water-pre-clean my TT as I must to remove the potassium chloride after using the old milsurp ammo. ;)

Good idea!

I did the same at first. It works great.
I skipped JHPs all together due to the screaming velocities associated with the 7.62x25 and opted for JSPs. I've had good luck with Sierra Sports Master 85gr JSP. This from my Yugo M57.

I now use Power Pistol with great success.

Wow! Lots of feedback. I must say the attitude & courtesy of this board is a refreshing change!
Welcome! You will find that a lot here. There are, as everywhere, a few who get riled up once in a while, but on the whole THR is a lot more adult than most of the other boards I've frequented over the years... and the knowledge base here is fantastic. It's a rare day when one of these guys doesn't have first-hand experience with something a question is asked about... as you found out today.

Stay safe.
