Howdy guys. I have a Kropatschek short rifle in 8x60R. I bought some WW Super brass for it in 348 Win. I need to take .010 off the base for it to fit in the chamber. The base is .553 and i need .543. What is the base wall thickness though? I hear this brass is pretty thin down there. I know i can buy Starline and the base be closer, but I want to use these. thumbnail_0214192235_Burst01.jpg

The rear of the case is the only thing between you and hot, high pressure, high velocity, gases.

Other than that, I do not know the answer, although my gut reaction is to say buckle up and buy the Starline.

Others may know better. I would be more inclined to find a way to swage it down the size vs cutting it thinner.

As a .348 reloader, that brass is pretty heavy... but I wouldn’t want to take any material off of it, either. I like Walk’s idea better.

Dumb question... can you ream the chamber to allow standard .348 brass to fit?

Doc AV said it is better to alter the ammo not the gun. I really don't have what I need to do that.
