One of my pet peeves is videos that take 10 -15 minutes on a subject that should take 60 seconds max.
For instance, on another forum a guy posted a 12+ minute video about a Lee bench primer. I can't imagine anything about a bench primer that needs more than 45 seconds to show.

You and me both brother! Some people just love to hear the sound of their own voice. Even when it's nothing but Babble.!

MaxLoad, I want to thank you for posting brief, succinct videos.

The videos get quickly to the point, with a very brief introduction.

I didn't watch that one.
I got the same problem with a lot of videos. Guy spends 5 or 6 minutes talking about what he will be talking about. That just drives me crazy. Another of my favorites is just a shot of a table top, with 2 hands waving around and somebody yammering about something that isn't there. I have plenty of opportunity to hear myself talk, why should anyone else have to suffer through it? Keep the peace.

Good enough! I wasn't aware that the primer is picked up by the same rod that will insert it....looks clean enough. So what about it 550 owners? Same thing or same but different? What's the weakness in the primer slide that is disagreeable to some 550 owners? Looks like a pretty clean design to me.....at least the slide doesn't break.;)
Looks pretty much the same, which is a plus as far as I am concerned. Full disclosure, though, I deprime all my brass on a different press, wet tumble the brass, so I don't get any primer residue on my 550.

The 550 primer system appears to be the same as the 750, from what I can see in the video (GREAT vids, btw, keep up the good work!!). On the 550 it works really well, especially if you keep it clean. There is an aftermarket 'bearing' upgrade that I have and it's improved the priming 'smoothness' and operation quite a bit... YMMV.

Difference, as stated, is *where* the priming happens in the cycle of the press. On the 750 it appears to be in station 2, which removes the 'dirty' issue of priming on the 550.

If I ever acquire the $$$, I'll be getting a 750 to add to my 550...

Could you elaborate on the aftermarket "bearing" upgrade for your 550? Are you referring to the bearing upgrade the 750 now already has, to smooth the plate rotation, or something else?

I looked at a 750 a couple of weeks ago at Dillon's. it is very smooth and went and sold my 650. well I got a good deal on a 1050 so that is what I got. if I didn't get the 1050 I would now have a 750.
