I’ve checked at three different stores. Nothing good that I could find. I was hoping for a 12 gauge 870 or 11-87
Was up visiting daughter past several days. Checked a local store on brickseek after I got up there and they had 1 12ga and 2 20ga 11-87's for $124. Called and verified they had them in stock. Stopped on way home the next afternoon and none in stock. Clerk said they sold several that morning . Go figure. Now I see my local has 16ga Federal ammo for $5 / bx.
Lets not get an informative thread shut down with trolling comments please.Ask them if they're still carrying pistol ammo. Do it while carrying openly....
That's one problem with Walmart, they play games. My guess the employee or a friend will be buying the ammo. I believe that's why items don't get marked down visibly.
Back when 9mm, 223 and 22lr couldn't be found within 100 miles the employees would hide the ammo for friends and family or call them when a truck came in. I saw this happen several times. One guy who works my sporting goods counter always brags how he scans a tag and finds a deal. He bought all the TC muzzleloaders last year for $50 and sold every one of them according to him.I see that with the clearances. Friends of the employees bought them right in front me while while i was waiting 2 hours the first time i read about the closeouts.

It's not trolling. Reality has altered the landscape of this post. I am not buying from Walmart, even if the alternatives are more expensive.Lets not get an informative thread shut down with trolling comments please.
Well I wasn't going to say anything on here but I am kind of pissed now...
I have had my eye on a rifle for awhile at a local Walmart. The Girlfriend was shopping there and I asked her to check if it was clearance for me. She was on the phone when the worker comes over and I hear him yell at her to get from behind the counter. She explains she was trying to see what model it was because all the price tags are flipped around. He replied, you need to find someone then, your not allowed behind the counter. Now, I am on the phone with her and I hear this.. She asks ***** what the price of a 22/10 is and he snidely corrects her and says its 10/22, which one. She asks for prices on the blue and stainless model. He tells her and she politely says another store clearance them could he scan the tag and see if they are to? He replies, "we don't clearance any firearms, ever!" She says, well there is a store 10miles away that clearance them, so could you check please? He says, we don't clearance guns, ammo, or anything gun related. She asks for a manager and he comes back with one who scans the tag and it shows no mark down. She asks to see the gun and ***** asks her why? She flat out told him she wanted to take a picture of the sku: because she was going to have someone else check. She says he walks away mumbling to himself and made her feel stupid because she's a girl and doesn't know guns. I asked her if it was the bald, foomanchoo guy and she says yes. Every time I check ammo prices or guns when we grocery shop this guy puts on a nice show for the guys and always treats the woman like crap. I was one aisle over a few months ago and she asked him where toilet seats were and he was very crappy to her. I asked him and he was super nice. I noticed that another woman asked him something and he was very crappy. I have heard him tell other employees that customers are F idiots and even talk about customers to customers.
The other night I tried to see how he would react if it was me looking at the gun and he was great with me. Oh, I'll take it out of the case for you, etc. Moments later a foreign guy walks over with steel shot and says the tag says $5 clearance and he needs a price check. ***** says, we don't clearance ammo or guns, ever! The man explained that one tag said clearance and other are normal could he scan it. He refused to until the guy kept pressing so he logs into the computer and the customer is about 3ft behind the counter and he yells at the man, "you need to back up right now, your not allowed behind my counter!" He scanned it and told the guy it was $22. The customer says, see the tag and barcode, they match. He replies, I told you we don't clearance anything gun related and walks away mumbling and I am pretty sure he called him an F dumb a..
I have heard this guy talk to my girlfriend like crap, multiple woman, employees, etc. I did end up seeing one of the guns marked down on Brickseek so seeing how we got the run around and not thinking until now he's hiding something I contacted the store. I don't usually do that but this kind of burned me up.
