I own 3 semi-auto pistols in 40 S&W. Two Sigs and one Kahr. Shoot them, reload for them, carry them. This caliber will be around longer than I will!
The M&P was designed initially as a .40, not as a 9mm. In fact early M&P 9s had accuracy problems.Yes, a P30 in 40 S&W might be interesting. I like my 9x19 P30SK.
I know the 40 S&W was developed to be compatible with firearms designed for 9x19, but it would be interesting to have a pistol designed specifically for the 40 S&W.
I have a Sig M1911 chambered for 40 S&W and it is a pussycat but since the M1911 is designed for 45 ACP, it is somewhat a waste of the capabilities of the 40 S&W.
I have a Beretta M96 and an S&W M&P40 (first generation). Both originally designed as 9x19 pistols. They shoot well but I just do not handle them as well as the 9x19 versions.
We're still going with this huh?
My dept will never get rid of the .40. All other depts are going to 9mm now. Chief thinks it’s a fad so we are stuck with it
ReloadI sure can’t get 10 that inexpensively
I don't think anyone needs to defend what they choose to carry. Do whatever you want. There's plusses and minuses to 9, 40, and 45, and a bunch of others.I’m surprised they 9 boys aren’t on the carpet defending their choice. I think that’d be a harder time.
